Long shot, but this has been crashing on me for a few days. It locks up and the logs me out of anything I’m logged into. Don’t have the issue with Safari. And it get the problem on both WiFi and cellular.

Anyone else?

I'm reading this using the Opera browser on my ipad. Works well, and now has a VPN if you feel it's necessary.

Haven't had any issues with Chrome lately, but Edge did an update and closed all my, umm... research tabs. 😕
 
I’m getting it in Safari as well now. I guess my phone has a glitch.
 
Googling for "chrome ios crash lost cookies" doesn't bring many relevant results other than maybe this one (though I doubt you'd want to reset your phone whenever it happens).

My only other ideas would be to verify that the phone has enough storage space for session data (really unlikely it doesn't tbh), or selectively log in to only a subset of sites to perhaps try and find a particular one whose cookies corrupt the browser storage.
 
You can try accessing the site incognito mode. If that works, then look at clearing your cache.

Happens on Wifi and cellular both = software issue. Happens on both browsers = OS issue. Happens only when online = probably a library missing, permissions issue, or some kind of radical error in the part of the OS that handles connectivity. Note: this can be a secondary consequence of hardware that is behaving unpredictably or complaining. I'd first reboot the machine, next reset the internet settings, and then see if you can get some kind of debugging information.

Only use Chrome (on any OS) if you don't place any value on your personal information or privacy. For example:

The article is actually quite funny in the way it skewers Google. If a satirical author invented an evil corporation doing this sort of thing and then naming it "Privacy Sandbox", readers would say the author had jumped the shark. You can't make this stuff up.

every couple hours, i get logged out on chrome for the forum tab. have to close the tab out and redo it again. I'm on android, so I wonder if its connection or something else?
