Christmas Presents

Good morning everyone!

With Christmas less than a few days away, what better time than now to reflect on some of the best presents you have received/gave in your life. Not to leave out our friends who do not celebrate Christmas, so this is more than applicable to other December holidays such as: Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.

Being only a lad of 21, I really haven't had anything overtly memorable; however, one year I got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas. It was easily the highlight of my childhood!

The best gift I ever gave was some nice jewelry to a college friend. She and I are just friends, but always seem to act like a couple sometimes, so I thought it would be a nice touch before we left to go home for Christmas. We have since sort of grown apart in recent months, but I'll never forget the reaction she had to opening the present!

Again, what was your best gift you received and or gave (for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.)?

Ill go with my BJ Armstrong basketball jersey I got from my grandma when I was 12.

Last year I bought myself a new car. Does that count?

Good Morning All:)

I bought the wife a brand new car last year and she still loves it I would have to say when I was younger, my brother and myself received this electric racetrack that was slotless and we drove the wheels off those cars. That was back before the internet, video games or anything like that was ever around in the 70's.

This year, two of my three kids are older and knows who Santa is:(. I told them they better not ruin it for their younger brother. He is getting so excited this year, waiting for Santa.

Its not so much the gift, its watching my kids eyes light up Christmas morning and the joy in their faces. That is the best gift of all.:D

One of the more unique gifts I've recieved was a few years ago when a friend bought me a very small plot of land on a Scottish nature preservation that allowed me to assume the title Lord on all my documents, among other benefits.

I grew up in the country so one year when I was young, I got a mini bike. That always stuck out as my favorite. My husband booked a trip one year which I didn't know about till the night before. Also love my spa gift certificates I get every year.
I have a tendency to buy my husband something that's for both of us so last year I bought a Liberator chasse lounger  I highly recommend it. I love the gothic look so this year I bought 2 large candelabras for our long dining room table. More for me though.:)

I bought my mom a cruise for Christmas a few years ago. She'd never been on one (or really a vacation) and I wanted her to have the experience. We had a blast!

My youngest daughter, hands down the best Christmas gift I ever received.. even if she got here a day early.

This right now.... My youngest just woke up, so I told him good morning. He looked at me, just smiled and then dragged his blanket out of his bedroom, went to the Christmas tree, turned it on... smiled at me... then went an laid on the couch and went back to sleep in front of the tree... way to cute, just had to be here to see his face when it turned on.

Think he is ready and waiting for Santa Claus this year?:D

There's is truly no greater gift than pure appreciation for doing something or seeing someone happy. You all exemplify that, and I just want to thank you for your kindness. It makes me happy to know there are good people in this world still. :)
