Sing out if you have your shopping/crafting/creating finished, the gifts are wrap and under the tree, the stockings are hung by the chimney with care and all you're waiting on is for the fat guy to say, "Ho ho ho."

I finished my shopping tonight about an hour ago. Tomorrow I'll wrap and wait for St. Nick.

I play online games for prizes, and accrued a dozen or more during 2009 to use as Christmas gifts. UPS just delivered a set of stainless steel measuring cups with extended handles. They retail for $20.

But I won a dual scroll mouse, some popular cook-books, a swivel drive, a webcam, water bottles, computer software, and DVDs. I bought some books for my GF. And 2 GameBoys w/games for a couple of grand-daughters. Cash for the teens.

I just discovered a delightful gift. My fall garden produced 450 tomatoes, and there were another 100 small fry I didnt fool with (its supposed to freeze). But I came across a recipe for Bread & Butter Green Tomato Slices, had a brain fart, and picked 100 of the little guys to make the pickles with. Maybe 6 pints.

Don't you think Christmas shopping before December 24 is a bit OCD?

ALl my shopping is technically done but I guess I'll buy my hubs and daughter more before the day. All wrapping bar hubs and daughter are done, I'l ldo them Christmas eve as I enjoy it, it makes me feel all christmassy. :)

Factually inaccurate? It's a completely uncalled for comment in this thread or any other but you already know that. That's why you are an asshole.

I seized the opportunity she created. She says ho ho ho, I say ha ha ha.

I was done a week ago.

I love Amazon.

I did that last year. I think I had more fund shopping on line than going to the store. (I hate to shop) This year, though, with all the economic stuff, I decided to support local businesses. Love those little shops.

Possibly, but I like everything neat and tidy--well, spotlessly clean, actually. Damn. I see a speck of dust. Must go clean my house now.

Last minute shopping makes me feel alive.

Get out there and live!

When I think 'ho' I think of you.

This isn't a political thread. Please be nice.

When I think of asshole, I think of you.

Stop taking the bait, Tx.

I'm pretty much done. We wrapped everything from us to the kids (and my nephews) last night and discovered we were one short for my daughter, so I need to get her one more thing. Otherwise, all we have left to do is wrap the Santa gifts and my mom's and granddad's (which are perishable and can't be wrapped until the day of.)

Oh, and I've got to take one thing back and exchange it because we discovered as we were wrapping that it was one of the older "not compatible with motion plus technology" controllers.

All my Xmas shopping is D...O...N...E thanks to Al Gore (for inventing the Internet). On-line shopping is da bomb. :D Yes, you pay shipping, but it beats fighting the crowds, dealing with surly temp sales clerks and risking damage to your wheels in parking lots. ;)

And threats to your blood pressure! Yeah, "choose, enter, send" rocks.

Oh the Internet for me, too.
Just a couple of things from local stores and that was IT.

We actually did the majority of our shopping on Black Friday. It's not as bad as it sounds. Little town. We went to a grand total of 3 stores, lol. The only one that was crowded was Wal-Mart, and since we weren't after any of the big ticket items, we didn't really have any problems.

One of the chief reasons I love Amazon is the selection. I can find such better variety, and all of the odd little quirky things that I can think of.

I'm lagely liberated from the support of small local shops because there hardly are any - just a vast, dreary mall with the most appalling dreck in it. But a couple of weeks ago I took the parents down the coast to a little sea-side town and we splurged a bit there. Lovely place.

Im all done, although this the third year that Ive made all the gifts. However, there are a few items in the mail.

Im also a big fan of amazon. I dont think Ive ever had a bad experience with them...

Good job Molly, supporting us local bizzness folks!

(Heres Hoping everone has a very Merry Christmas.)

I suppose those crisp white WalMart bags with their handles tied in a festive bow don't count...

Depends on the traditions in your house. ;)

Where you been, Glynndah? Poor Dorothy is getting her butt kicked all over the place--and her little dog, too.

I've been here occasionally. I lurk quite a bit. And as for that yappy little dog...
