Christmas happens to be my favorite holiday, the smells, the tastes, the love shared. So here I'm going to put Christmas things. It would make me happy if you were to come in and share how you celebrate the holidays.

Favorite Food?
Favorite Memory?
Favorite Kids Christmas Show?
Favorite Christmas Show?
Favorite Christmas Song?
Favorite Toy?
Favorite Poem?

If you don't celebrate Christmas what do you celebrate and how?

Christmas Songs put a smile on my face.

Winter Wonderland
Sleigh bells ring
are you listening
in the lane
snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
we're happy tonight
walking in a winter wonderland

Gone away is the bluebird
here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song
as we go along
walking in a winter wonderland

In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
we'll say: No man
But you can do the job
when you're in town

Later on
we'll conspire
as we dream by the fire
To face unafraid
the plans that we've made
walking in a winter wonderland

In the meadow we can build a snowman
and pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman
until the all the kids knock him down

When it snows
ain't it thrilling
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play
the Eskimo way
walking in a winter wonderland

Walking in a winter wonderland
walking in a winter wonderland

Roseylady this is a beautiful thread...

Christmas is my favorite time too. I love decorating and putting things on my tree. Everything on the tree is homemade. My kids made things during school and I kept them all. I have homemade ornaments that I made and pictures of my family that is not here in New Jersey. I bake cookies and go shopping.

Christmas eve we use to go to my mom's house and we feasted all night until the kids got tired and then we use to say "Oh look there is Santa, we better hurry" and they use to run to get into bed. The look on their faces was priceless. I have a large family so it was really nice. I say was because most of them left and went to Florida.. Now I have Christmas Eve and my children are older and they bring their friends over and I do the same as my mom did. I have one brother up here still and he comes with his family and children. We sing and then the phone rings and we sing with the family in Florida all over again.

Christmas day I rest. We get up to open presents and then I relax. We go visiting friends during the week until New Years Eve. Last year I was in New York City for New Years Eve and it was wonderful.

my favorite song is...I SAW MAMA KISSING SANTA CLAUS...

Christmas toys all over the place
Little Shelby wears a funny smile on his face
Shelby has a secret
And the secret he must share
He wants to tell somebody
So he tells his teddy bear

Chorus:
I saw Mama kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the misteltoe last night
She didn't see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peek(it says peep but go with peek)
She thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom fast asleep
Then, I saw Mama tickle Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mama kissing Santa Claus last night

Thanks sexy for being the first poster. I really hope that me and my family can create such wonderful memories. This is technically my son's third christmas but the first one he was only a couple months old, the second he didn't understand much. This one shall be fun.

It will be my daughters first christmas. I can't wait to see their faces Christmas morning.

I get up early cook us breakfast. Than we open presents. Get dressed up in new clothes and go to my husband's mothers place for Christmas dinner.

His whole family is there. Mom, brother and his family, two sisters and their family. We open more presents and have a fabulous dinner.

I like the idea of this thread as well. I have always enjoyed more the religious aspects, i.e. celbrating the birth of Jesus Christ than the gif giving, families, etc as they caused more stress than it was worth.

Favorite Food? - Cookies or Ham
Favorite Memory? - Always going out carolling.
Favorite Kids Christmas Show? - The one with Mr. Heatmiser.
Favorite Christmas Show? - The Rockets doing the Rockefeller Xmas show is incredible.
Favorite Christmas Song? - Any that I can sing, But especially, I saw Sexy kissing Buggy.
Favorite Toy? - An empty box. - LOL
Favorite Poem? - A visit from Saint Nick.

Now personally I have called radio stations in January to try and get them to play Winter Wonderland since Christmas was green and January was white. Never works.

Have yourself a Merry Litle Christmas.....

Seriously I hope you always have fun at Christmas.

There is always the Religious part of it and to keep that my family and I decided not to exchange but to get together and feast. We go to church together as well. My friends such as Angelofsex also join in.

I buy gifts for my own family only. I also give turkeys to the poor and I shop for the homeless. I feel giving to those who don't have is just as important and to show kindness.

I think a Bug Eyed Monster play Santa and I will sit on his lap...:p

Hello All :) I agree, this is a wonderful thread.

Favorite Food? Stuffing. My mom has passed the recipe on to me. It is so good.

Favorite Memory? Well, I don't really remember this, but my mom says when I was little I fell asleep at the window waiting for Rudolph :)

Favorite Kids Christmas Show? Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas. Anyone else heard of this one? They don't show it anymore and I miss it!

Favorite Christmas Show? Three Days. I cry everytime I see it.

Favorite Christmas Song? I have quite a few. I Wonder As I Wander, Carol of the Bells (with words, the instrumental isn't as good), Marshmallow World (not really Christmas, but I love it)

Favorite Toy? That I have gotten? Play-doh. I love play-doh :) and all the little accessories.

Favorite Poem? The only one I can think of is the Night Before Christmas, but I wouldn't call it a favorite.

Chirstmas is one of my favorite holidays. I am lucky in the fact that both my parents and my husbands parents live near us. We all get together Christmas Eve and go out to dinner in Colonial Williamsburg at a tavern. It is so nice. My daughter is going to be into it this year, I think. It's my son's first and he's not going to know what's going on. We open presents as a family Christmas morning. Than we will either stay home (doing that this year), or go to a parents house and open more gifts and have a nice dinner.

Ok, Here goes:
Twas the night before Christmas, and all I could here
was the old lady bitchin', and slurpin her beer.

The old man was out with a two-dollar-whore,
I just finished having the babysitter on the floor

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
the old lady screamed, "What in Christ is the matter!"

Then what to my bloodshot, young eyes should appear,
a pot-bellied drunk, and eight f***ed-up reindeer!

He was dressed in red from his head to his foot,
and his clothes were all plastered with deershit and soot!

His reindeer, meanwhile, were a hell of a sight-
they were lit like a cathouse on Saturday night!

Then taking a swig from a bottle of scotch,
he kicked at the front door, and clawed at his crotch!

When I let him in, holding my breath,
he was followed by an elf, beat half to death!

After dumping a bag full of toys and clothes,
wriggling his ass, up the chimney he rose

but the old bastard's face turned an odd shade of green,
for he'd caught his left nut in the fireplace screen!

With the heart-raking roar of a castrated moose,
out of the chimney he flew, like shit from a goose!

I heard him blow chunks as he flew out of sight,
I thought, "Thank Jesus he left without spending the night!!

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace

Shepherds quake at the side
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia
Christ the saviour is born
Christ the saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace

Favorite Food? - all of it. Especially the dressing my mom made. I am going to try to make it, but not sure if I will be able to make it like she did., cookies, pies, and like my mom always said on Thanksgiving and Christmas all the food is non-fattening!!! lol.
Favorite Memory? - Every Christmas Eve Mom and Dad would come over and spend the night and we would stay up late or get up very, very early to get things ready for Daniel when he woke up. Then later Christmas get together with all the rest of the family, my brothers, sister and their families. Since this will be the first Christmas w/o mom not sure how it will be. But all the rest of us will be getting together and pretty much carrying on the tradition, with a few slight changes. I love it when it is cold out and have all the family together and feel the love.
Favorite Kids Christmas Show? - Frosty the Snowman
Favorite Christmas Show? - Miracle on 34th St.
Favorite Christmas Song? - Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer
Favorite Toy? - Slinky, the original ones, not the plastic ones that they have now.
Favorite Poem? - Twas the Night before Christmas.

Favorite Xmas Song

When I was in school I loved when we played this song in band...it's my favorite.....

Sleigh Ride

Just hear those sleigh bells jing-a-ling-ring-ting-a-ding-a-ling-ding
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling you
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy, and cosy are we
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Let's snuggle up together like birds of a feather would be
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Let's make the road before us and sing a chorus or two
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding

Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy, and cosy are we
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding

Lets make the road before us and sing a chorus or two
Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ding-dong-ding
Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you

Come with me,
You're going on a sleigh ride,
At my side
Through the falling snow.
Take my hand,
We're going on a joy ride,
Laughing
Everywhere we go.
Side by side,
We'll soon be gliding through the snow,
Sleigh bells
Caroling along,
Hear them ring -
Someday we'll be remembering
The way they played
Our song.
Hand in hand,
We're going on a sleigh ride,
Be my guide Through the drifting snow.
Cheek to cheek,

We're going on a sleigh ride,
Winter Is the warmest time I know.

Interesting story I heard about this song. It was WWII on the german border, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, the shooting had stopped and one of our soldiers got up out of the trench and sang a carol (possibly this one). He went back in and a German soldier got out and sang this in German.

I love this song, and the story about it. There are some words written about Jesus Christ, which I will try to post Friday. Very true and very powerful.

Thanks everyone for posting.

Buggy that is truly a wonderful story.
Christmas time amazes me how people come together.

Christmas was my favorite holiday until my parents got divorced 2 years ago right before Christmas and I had to stay with my bitter father. But now it is better and I like Christmas again. Got alot of shopping to do.
