And with that, I bid you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I will be working through the holidays this year but having time off in Feb to have fun with family in New Zealand. Introduce my girlfriend and take my daughter to Milford Sound. Trek the National Park. It’s what she wants. Fishing with my brothers.

What are you guys up to for Christmas?

We’re having a beach Christmas. Ham and salads and surf with family. I’m making a chocolate cake. Fingers crossed the weather is nice.

Ive just bought a lobster fishing patch, off the coast of Padstow. Ill be fishing with my sister (and other baits) should be a decent harvest,

Ive got 4 chickens. decided to make my own egg nog. bad idea... costing me a fortune in brandy. (got around the cinamom bit by simply emitimg it so saved a few quid there.)

a whiskey, honey, bovril blend is awesome.

Whiskey with out Bovril (excluding single malts) is wasteful.

Bells and Marmite... to die for.

We have a couple of good spots up north. It’s a bit of a trek but the fishing is great. Kahawai and snapper mainly, but the odd kingfish if we’re lucky. All good eating. We smoke the kahawai and make raw fish with the snapper. Fresh fish n chips for everyone. I honestly can’t wait. Miss my brothers.

I get a week off from school. I'm going to sloth like there's no tomorrow.

Haha! We’ll probably get a game of beach volleyball going and catch a few waves but other than that there will be plenty of eating and a few naps I’d imagine.

good point. I had a good spot on the Leeds / Huddersfield canal, but then the police bought a dredger. The rest is hidtory. completley ruined the fishing.

I do enjoy a bevvie at Christmas. I think I drank maybe half a beer last year. The boys enjoy a brew or ten but the women in my family not so much. Busy.

I’ll sneak a drink in somewhere I’m sure.

My sister works Christmas day , but I'm sure the family will get together Christmas eve instead. I'll find something to do the day of.

I’ll be in Chicago for part of the week and then up to Big Sky with family. It’s always great fun when we all get together. This year everyone can make it. That hasn’t happened for almost 4 years. I’m really looking forward to it.

Remember that the base of the Lone Peak Tram is on a rock glacier and it's constantly moving downhill, albeit at a slow pace.

This year, my entire family will be together for the first time in 15 years. Looking forward to having everyone in the same place at the same time for a change!
We typically don't indulge in all the Christmasy consumerism, but rather do a big lunch, a secret santa (single gift, with a spend limit) and have a day together relaxing and just being happy in eachothers company
