I agree with you i meant the catholic copporate not the catholic individual

I have friends that are catholic that are good but i wouldn't trust thier religious leaders to baby sit a 5 year old if they payed me

Todd around here, the only parents who have to worry are the ones with boys, who deal directly with SOME of the Priests. At least that's all that we hear about.

The Cathlic Church is VERY influential, and quickly sweeps these unfortunate incidents under the rug. The Priests don't get prosucted in most cases, they get transferred, and the Church pays the families off.

Your families are semi lucky then if you can call them that.

Here in new brunswick the families gets excommunicated and the churches gain custodial care of the child abused by the priest.

and its made to look like the family is the bad guys.

a masive series of lawsuits going on right now of abuse suffered 25-30 years ago

some of the stories are pretty sickening.

but the body readily acepts it up here, its sad to me to see that type of control an organization holds over its people.

much like the democrats are trying to exercise over the people and to a small but growing extent the republicans.

Up here the leftist party the Liberals already have that control over its constituants
