Oh I dunno, been awhile since I have had the opportunity to wield a flogger or cane and must admit it could be fun to do again...only problem is I usually draw a little blood and that might not be appreciated by some.

Now that could be fun...F was going to do it with me but to date he just sits and watches and waits to see what I will come up with next...astound him with my imagination and sadistic streak, I do. Of course he won't volunteer for me to practice some on.

I recall reading an article about changing the entire area around, and "cleaning it up". Do you know what the status is?

Was reading last week that they have sold a few of the buildings which had the windows in them for redevelopment, but that the rest were staying. The Christian right have been making noises about cleaning it all up, but from what I read others have realised it is part of the culture of Amsterdam and would be stupid to abolish. IS certainly unlike anything else with some streets/alleys having windows on 2-3 storey's.

This is a pic I took of the Mouline Rouge ther and didn't relaise until I got home that I had also captured one of the ladies in the window.

LOL, yes...I was in the habit of going to coffee shops in Oz which are just that, so F had to warn me wuick that in Amsterdam if it says 'Coffee Shop' it sin't what I understand it to be...sort of explained why all the patrons sitting outside looked so dazed and happy.

Oh, okay. Well, that's good. Not to mention they'd lose a lot of their tourism as the district is such an attraction.

I didn't notice the woman either until you pointed her out!
I wonder what it looks like at night. In the day light it looks so pristine...

At night it is very crowded and busy, but fun.....the main streets are OK, but a bit of a squeeze in some of the narrower alleys if there is a bunch of tourists or drunken lads from the UK coming from the other direction. I never get tired of passing through there.

LOL, he says he has never had to pay for it and won't start now. Should be quite a handful, but the more the merrier is good sometimes and would certainly make an evening in Amsterdam fun.
