Last week I made a nice Shredded Beef using the same recipe I use for Pulled Pork. (Substituting Beef for the Pork of course.) It turned out pretty damned good if I must say so myself.
The vast majority of it was seperated into one pound lots and frozen.
This morning I pulled a container out of the freezer to defrost.
This afternoon I went down to the bakery and picked up a couple of their Onion Rolls.
This evening I reheated the shredded Beef and started putting it on the rolls along with Swiss Cheese and Smoked Provolone. On my wifes sandwich I added a bit more BBQ Sauce, on mine went a bit of Hot Sauce to give it some character.
These half pound sandwiches were then heated for a bit in the microwave to start the cheese melting and then enjoyed.
I love making foods like this.
