I'm just wondering how you choose a category, especially if you have something that could easily fit in more than one.

Do you put it someplace it will be seen more? Do you put it in the category that describes the basic premise, though not perhaps the overall feeling of the story?

I am also wondering if you can change a posted story's category...

Just looking for some input on how you decide.

Put it somewhere people won't be disappointed to read it. None of my stuff neatly fits into any category, because I'm in love with the story and characters not the sex.

For example if you really want your story to be seen shove it into the incest grouping but if your story contains barely a mention of incest you'll probably get hate mail and low ratings.

In all, just don't disappoint.

Put it into a catagory that you feel best describes what the overall story is about. For instance, if it is a romantic lesbian bsdm, but follows the story of the lesbians through it, then place it in the lesbian one.

If it would easily fit into more then one, just look at the options, and what it fits best as. Don't stick it in any old one, just to get hits, because if people feel it doesn't fit, they may give you icky feedback, or low votes, because they were expecting something else.

Also, in the short desc of the story, put in the key words of all it involves.
