I agree. I was gonna mention that any restriction of air flow is something I do not want to mess around with. It is too easy to let things get out of hand. I have male submissives and I think that men do not find it as erotic when another person does it to them.

Hope you don't mind me just using this part of your quote, but this really brings something vividly to mind for me. Back before I knew of such things as a "professional Dominatrix", I lived in a very small beach community. I've been told an orgasm under either of these situations is extremely intense and wonderful. Somehow, the thought of possibly dying to acheive just wipes out any desire to do it. right this very minute you can buy latex and leather hoods on Ebay that do not have holes for the nose or mouth. Presumably it is so you can place them yourself, but I do know of instances where the holes are only made small enough for straws to be put through them.

Like I say, I have yet to meet a male sub who enjoys having hands around his throat and/or being choked. I am sure they exist, but I would not collar or train one, it is something I will not do.

I will do the mummification thing though.

I'd go even further than that. I studied judo and jujitsu for about 15 years. In these martial arts there are many choke holds that purposely restrict the flow of blood through the carotid arteries. Such a move, a guillotine choke, can render a grown man unconscious in a matter of 4 or 5 seconds (once it's locked down.) Chokes of this type mimic the effects of a massive stoke, i.e., depriving the brain of O2. (for the record, when I was a teenager, I'd recklessly put guys in choke holds merely for demonstration purposes. Teenaged boys think it's super cool to see someone choked-out, or at least they used to 15 years ago. I'd never do this now. )

While this can be done repeatedly without obvious injury. I have to believe that each such incident incurs a small measure of occult brain damage. And then, as you said, there is a not-so-infinitesimally small chance that you'll kill them outright.

Trust between lovers notwithstanding, there is no guarantee that a lover would have the skill or the presence of mind to restart ones heart, should one find oneself in full cardiac arrest and a couple of hundred seconds away from being a vegetable or worse.
