I'm Patti, Patricia, or Little Cloud, depending on who you ask ;), and I live in Alabama, the heart of Dixie.

Not working now, but was in retail clothing management for around 18 years - I loved it! (yes, I know how insane that sounds). Eventually moved up to a training manager and I got to travel all over the country with that job - was way too much fun.

Now staying at home with my youngest boy, who just turned 4. I have two other kids - a daughter who will be 24 next month, and starting her master's degree in the spring, and a son who is 15, and all about cars, girls, and video games.

College educated and sorta wasting it right now. ;) I started my master's, and hopefully, will be able to finish it one day.

Oh, yeah - I'm married, but not happily. It's a situation that'll get fixed eventually, though.

I haven't worked in clothing, but my first job was in a pharmacy, ended up assistant manager. Next job was in a wholesale confectioners. I LOVED that job!!!!!!

You have your kids hon. I've been there done that. Make sure in your heart that what ever you do, you are certain. I made the mistake of going back, which confused the kids.

100% or nothing hon. Stay or go, don't change your mind once your decision is made.

I look back now and think of what could have been if I'd kept to my original decision. I'd be married with three kids instead of two. My door is always open if you need a shoulder.

Thanks.

Actually getting to know a few people besides the mandatory hi and good-bye.

Alright, I am a little shy about this but the other brave people here make me want to post.... :)

I am Julie, 34, married for 7+ years with no kids. In fact, I have been wrestling with the decision to have kids the past few years - I keep waiting for that maternal desire to kick in, and it really hasn't, despite the fact that people are having babies all around me! So I am in limbo - I don't strongly "want" a baby right now, but don't want to "not" have one either.

I am a graphic designer - a new career I embarked upon a few years ago after a long time of feeling like I didn't know what I wanted to be, and would never know. I freelance and just started a new job recently which I like a lot so far.

I live in Ohio, where we are winding down what has been a pretty beautiful summer and are getting ready for my favorite time of year: fall. If there is any other place in the world I would like to be, it's England - a place I have been fascinated with since I was a little girl.

I used to write quite a bit as a teenager, then stopped for a long time, and began writing again last year when I discovered this site. It's been a lot of fun for me. It's the first time that I have "met" people on the internet, and I am amazed and pleased at how you can feel like you can make friends this way. There are a lot of warm and interesting people here, and I am glad I found this place to meet good people and start writing again.

Overall, I have a good life - nice family, friends, home, cats, job - it's all pretty good.
Thanks for doing this thread doormouse!
