A being.
A entity.
A child.
Some say she could destroy us all, a mere child.
And yet others say she could save us all, again a mere child.
A child, a perfect being.
A child, a horrible, death causing being.
Just a child.
She could destroy us all, with her horrible power.
She could save millions of mortal lives, with her angelic power.
She's an angel in human form.
She's a demon in human form.
She is death. She is life.
She is perfection, she is corruption.
Light.
Dark.
She is... The Child of Eden.

Alright this is a thread, a thread about a girl around five to seven, a girl with the power to kill any creature of the night in an instant. If she's trained enough. Right now she could kill a creature but it would take a little while. She uses will power alone.
Ok now this is going to be a important thread. Very serious and I want it to go some ware. You can be any creature of the night and the night is when it's taking place. Vampyres, demons, werewolves, hunters, mortals that stuff kids. Now this girl was created... no body knows how cept the person who did it. They don't know if it was magic or if she's some strain of Niter. (Night Creature) Ok I'm ganna have 2 characters one the person who made her... (You'll get short clipets from him, and updates.) And another character a vamp.
Now I need some one ot play the girl (Her name is Eden or at least thats what he told her) She's alone right now, he left her in the city in hsi building that she gruop up in, a mansion. Ok now each faction of Niters are searching for her with spies and such. There isn't all out war yet but if they got her they could obliberate the other factions.
The vampyer's are the most, and the most orginized. But the other factions have different powers. The hunters and the vampyre's seem to be the biggest factions, which they are. The mortals knwo little but the ones who do are trying to find her also. (Note hunters are not mortals)
Alright thats about all oh and we're going to need a leader for each faction. The factions, especially the vampyre's are usually waring among them selves but they've banded together. Ok so thats it I hope people are interested oh and please this isn't a battle every body thread I want some pretty exparenced writers... well just as long as your not, all kill every body be serious. I could sense her wondering. she has tried to hide it and failed. She knows of the storm growing the one that will envelope us all. The last way of the factions. And she is the prize, the gift, and the weapon.
She's knows of a lot of things, but not of her self. I must leave now knowing that her fate is hers alone she will find enimies, millions of them, but she will find allies also whether she chooses them or they choose her, is yet to be seen.
I know she is aged beyond her years, and I see that her midn is very much like mine calculating, keen, wise. But I do not know yet if she will munipulate them. or they will to her. It is all to be seen but I leave now and will not return for some time.
The manor is hers she will find in my room a note simply saying.
"Take every thing, hide child for your powers are unstoppable and that is what makes them most dangerous of all."
I fear I may die soon from putting to much of my self, my soul, my blood in to her. But I will not be lost unless she is.

The child..

Sitting in the middle of my bedroom, I glanced around at all the little things given to me to occupy my time while confined in this mansion. Nothing was appealing to me today, and I was not allowed to leave the house.
What was I to do? Sighing, I watched the clouds move around outside my barred window
"Lissa?" The servant jumped from her chair, new to the mansion and eyed me warily.
"Could you get me something to drink?"
"Yes miss." She stammered, still wondering why the golden haired child had to be watched so closely.
"Scotch on the rocks." I smirked as her eyed widened.
"S-scotch? Miss?" She wrung her hands together, her blue eyes trapped by my coal black orbs.
"Yes, I would like scotch at my tea party."
She stood there, looking at me like I had grown horns suddenly.
"NOW!" I thundered at her, a light shattering beside her on the nightstand. Jumping with a cry of alarm, she ran to the door and out.
"Now will she come back?? Or will she run away as the others did?" I spoke to my doll. Betsey was my favorite doll by far, only because ripping her head off took longer than the other bodiless dolls littering the room. For spite I did it, I hated being trapped, I hated being bored and I really disliked Dolls.
Now if Master would give me some attention instead of leaving me with this half wits.. maybe I would be nicer.. Naah..
I smirked again, hearing foot steps outside my door. Would she come in or was it perhaps my guardian come to lecture me once more? I giggled, hoping it was a fight brewing up.

The storm gathers

I walked slowly down the hall planning on unlocking her room and giving her the key, to the mansion. But I was intturupted by the servant running down the hall a look of pure terror in her face. I shook my head and asked in a medolic tone.
"Whats wrong Lisa? Seen one of those apperations again?"
I smiled slightly forcing her to beleave that all the things she had seen in this house were apperations of her imagination.
She eyed me with terror and shook her head mutely. I smiled my drapping red robes hanging loosely from my lean yet strong arms. I flicked my hand at her and she was slammed in to the wall and slid to the floor motionless. I shook my head knowing she'd awake all to soon.
I walked hurriedly to Edens room and my eyes shifting to the door it flew open. I smiled slightly.
"Eden." I wispered quietly in my raspy voice.

Eden

I paid no mind to the door opening, expecting Lissa to question me once more. Tiring, but it passed the time.
Until I heard his voice and turned, Smiling brightly I dropped the doll head and stood up.
"Good evening Master." My cherub face shining brightly as I moved toward him. "Did you come to have a discussion tonight?" I quieried, something in his gaze troubling me.
I cocked my little finger at him, beconing him down to my level, he was so tall where I was short, it gave me a kink in the neck. I felt happy for the first time that day, he was someone who knew me. Knew I was not a dim witted child, knew me! A child but more than that, "I do not think Lissa likes me overly much." I grinned the little devilish streak shining through.

Master

I smiles lightly down to her level. I shook my head seeing her cruelty shinning thru. "I fear she will not like me when she awakes either." I did nto fear the child, not yet at least. I could easily keep her in check with my powers if need be, but I knew that soon she woudl be mroe powerfult hen me, easily. My hands not cold like a vampires yet not warm like a mortal lifted ot her face. Two fingers combed the hair behind her ears.
"Well people do not like what they do not understand, and they usually don't like it once they do either." He shook his head. "Your powerful Eden and I knwo that you already know that, don't take my gestures of kindness as you being a child take them as you being my daughter." He waits for her to speak.

Eden

"Your daughter?" I smiled again. Not understanding his tired eyes but knowing much more than I should and understanding things as well.
"Does that mean I can call you Father?" I piped up, the innocence shining through once more. I felt a premonition coming, something bad as well. I shivered a little, looking suddenly behind me and out the window, my sight straight but seeing nothing.
"You are leaving me aren't you?" I turned back to him, the sorrow in my face. He had taken care of me from the moment I was born until this very day. Only Master was the teacher, guide, parental figure in my life. He had denied me nothing, fed my mind all I wanted to learn and more, so why was he abandoning me??

Master

He nodded, at her question wondering how she could be so calculating and yet at the same time so innocent. He looked her in the eye stern knowing that if he didn't he'd never let her go.
"Yes I am... your a smart girl Eden would I teach you all those things if just to keep you under my wing?"

Eden

I felt many things at once and none pleasant, only painful. I felt a tear fall down my cheek and launched myself into him. Holding him tightly, fear raced through me. I knew they were coming, all of them. Who would protect me?
"You cant go!" I buried my face into his neck, my little arms holding tightly to him. "Who will protect me? Who will teach me, and..." I couldn't think of anything else. I felt as if my world was crumbling down around me. I had yet to harness the power to even protect myself without hurting all around instead of just the one who threatened me.
"Please please don't go Father!" I pleaded with him, trying to calm the anger and fear inside me.

Leaving

He felt some thing strange, some thing he hadn't felt for a long time an ache, inside. He placed both hand firmly on her pushing her a way gently getting up. "This is how it was ment to be, this is fate." He turned around takign a few steps to the door. He looked back trying to hide this ache from his face.
"One last thing don't worry I will be watchign you, protecting you is another matter, don't shun all those who you meet but do not accept them either." He paused hsi voice giving way then resumed. "There is good and evil in this world, you yet have to choose what you are."
He walked quietly through the door way knowing she would chase after him but know she would only smell the faint odor of mist.

Rock Sat silently on his roof as the wind blew beside his furrie fox ears. They twitched as the cold finnaly began to get to him, he lifted his head slightly and taken a whiff of the air. "It's going to rain soon... Better get ready... I don't my bed soaking wet when I go to bed tonight... I don't wanna get sick."

Rock slowly got up as his coat began to straighten out and moved with the agravated wind. He then jumped off of the roof and walked in side.

OOC: Hope that was good enough...

Eden

I stood there a moment, blinking at him and watching him walk away. I walked to the door and peeked out and he was gone?
"FINE! BE THAT WAY!" I shouted out, anger taking hold inside me.
"Damned acting lessons never pay off.." I grumbled, my little body leaning against the frame as I turned my head and gazed at the waking Lissa.
"You are fired. And everyone else in this whole god forsaken house! fifteen minutes and everyone best be out." I glared at her, taking my anger out on her for being abandonded. Turning I marched into my room and slammed the door loudly.
The keys to the house sat on the floor with an envelope. Probably money or instructions or something.
I kicked it, sulking and not at all pleased he left me like this.
"I AM ONLY FIVE FOR CHRIST SAKE!" I hurled out into the empty air.
"Can't even drive a damned car..." I threw myself over my bed and glared at the wall. Choose a side? Yeah sure, there was more evil on this earth than good, even I knew that!
"I know you are lurking outside the door Lissa! Get the FUCK out!" I used my mind, the temper rising as the chair beside my bed she once sat in started to shake and bounce on the floor. Eyes flashing the door flew open and the chair went hurtling threw it, narrowly missing her head.
"GET OUT!" damned ignorant adults!

"Good evening."
Depp's hands held the werewolf, standing guard against the old house. For a moment, the wolf struggled, threatening to bite or something worse, but Depp's eyes became deep and soulless.
The creature of the night looked in, unable to resist.
"Just a moment or two, there's something in here that belongs to me."
The wolf nodded, as if this was the most logical thing in the world. The man just had something in the building, that was all. He could stand watch while the man got it.
"Good boy," he patted the servant on his head, moving inside. A vampire followed him. One of the younger ones, eyes ever watchful. He liked the young ones guarding his back, they did so with such enthusiasm.
He walked up the stairs.
"Sweety, where are you? Unle Depp's here to say hello."
On the third floor was the object of his desire. In one of the locked rooms. The poor thing, all lost and alone.
He would make such a good home for her.
Such a good home.
With little more than a push the door exploded before him. Splinters of shattered wood filling the edge of the dark room, light pouring in from the outside, seemingly the only source.
After taking a minute to adjust to the darkness, Depp saw there was indeed another source in this room.
"There's my girl," he moved over to a large crystal ball. A dark and seemingly endless void trapped in the middle. As he touched it, clouds of pink and purple smoke began billowing through it, swirling against and through each other with the greatest of ease. If he looked carefully, shapes began to emerge.
Easy as pie, like I said," he threw the ball in the air. The young vampire holding out a large sack, caught it easily, and wrapped it up to take back home.
"Such a shame, I would have liked to at least kill a few..."
Wailing of sirens cut him off. Both vampires fled to the windows, looking down at now three squad cars in the front of the mansion. They were opening fire on the werewolf, still walking back and forth, guarding the vampire while he went to get his object.
In a rain of bullets, the creature of the night was gone. Depp sighed, it would have been helpful if he had gotten the werewolf to chase those damned cops away.
Looked as if he would get to have some fun after all.
"The roof," they both ran like the wind, cloaks fluttering in the wake as they did so.
They hadn't been caught yet, not by a long shot.

Daryn

Daryn sat there and watched the city, wondering where those damn undead were. He had come to this place because he had heard they were coming here. He couldn't help but wonder why but soon found out when he heard the rumors in the street. The child from the prophecy- the child that would either destroy or remake everything was in this city.

At first he thought that they were just rumors and could have walked away from this place without a care in the world but he had heard it too often and decided that there was something to this. Daryn moved towards the stairway and ran down then quickly and with little noise then came out into the street. As soon as he was down on street level he stood there and watched as each person walked past him with a smile.

He watched them and knew that they were oblivious to who and what he was. He had been one of them a long time ago but had decided to give it up to hunt down the things that he hated the most, the things that had destroyed his life. With the smile still on his face Daryn walked into the crowd and was swallowed up by it. As he walked down the street he wondered what the next few days were going to bring up.

Eden

The house was too quiet now, I sat there on the bed and realized that sending everyone away would only leave me alone and vulnerable to attacks or what ever was coming this way.
Sighing, I jumped down off the bed and raced downstairs to find Lissa.
Running from hall to hall and room to room until I found her sitting on her bed.
"Lissa!" She glanced up at me, her eyes red and puffy from crying.
"I'm sorry." I said simply, that always fixed everything. And I did feel sorry for how I treated her.
"No one is fired." She nodded her head, upset with something. I did not think it was because of her job here. I was sure that Lissa did not like me at all. Feeling was mutual, she had a shiftiness about her that just rubbed me wrong.
"I will be in the library. Did you tell the other's they were fired?"
She shook her head no but did not speak up.
"All right then... Well carry on with what ever you were doing." I waved my hand in the air in dismissal like I had seen Master do so many times. Dim witted woman, I wanted to shout at her for no reason what so ever. I knew more at my age than she knew at her's, and yet I was trapped still in a very slow growing body! Unable to do much on my own, I did not like this.
Turning around, I ran head long back to the library. The old house was huge, hard wood floors and slippery. A child's play house, except I never did play? One Nanny wanted to stick me into a public school with the rest of the kids my age, but master warned against it. I had no control he had said, well I will figure out how to control it as I grow. I stepped into the library and noticed it was still holding master's scent. This was his room, his private domain for teaching me. I would continue to learn things until he pulled his head out of his ass and came back!
I grinned, no one could lecture me now on swearing or even running in the house.. It was mine. The smile faded, who cared? Sitting on Master's chair, I pulled off my shoes so I would not mess up the leather and then wiggled around until I was on my knees in his chair. Opening another book, I started reading. Dinner would come sooner or later, then I would take a break.

Rock groaned as he tossed and turned inside his bed. He felt like shit, seeing that the rain had once again seeped through the roof and soaked bed sheets, causing him to once again, come down with a flu. "When has a virus stoped me? I'm almost 1500 years old!"

Rock got out of bed, leaving the sheets a mess, 'I'll fix that later... I think," and went to his so called kitchen.

"Once again, theres nothing to eat..." Rock groaned, he looked through every shelf there was, but found nothing but dust and cob webs 'not even a sider or an lizard, they must have warned their buddys that I get desperatesome times...'

Rock then taken a look at the forbiden cabanet, it did have food there but... 'not even I'm that desperate!'

The door crashed open, splinters of wood falling onto the roof. Depp already pierced the sides, wondering just where to head to next in the journey.
"I want to know who our competition is," he pointed off the roof, going to check the other side. The adjacent buildings all around were either too far away, or didn't have the roof at the same height. He cursed when the reality sunk in that they might be trapped.
"Just humans," the young one said, his eyes wild with fear, "But their bringing out special weapons. I think they know."
Depp cursed. If they had thought it was just a couple of regular thugs looking for a few hundreds dollars worth of merchandise, things would be different. As it were now, they would shoot to kill.
And they would have the right weapons.
Wood.
He cursed again.
"The edge," he said, glancing at the right side of the building. Where the roof finally gave way, on the far side, was a huge platter window, one of those stained glass kinds, huge. In the dark light, he thought he saw a picture of a shephard, but couldn't tell for sure.
"We can make that," Depp said, glancing at his younger apprentice.
The man swallowed, tying the bag with their prize close to his body.
"If you break it, you won't live to say your sorry."
He nodded.
In a moment they ran. Each of them jumping from the roof, soaring above the ground like two majestic birds out for an evening flight.
The shattering of glass caught everyone's attention. Depp turned into a roll, while the younger one used his foot to break his fall, stopping the bag from touching the ground. He screamed out in pain.
Depp got up, glancing around. Another dark hallway, similiar to the first building they were in. He looked back at his friend. In horror, he realized that a piece of his bone was sticking out from his leg.
He knelt beside the vampire, looking into his tear stained face as he continued to scream.
"I know, I know."
He snapped the young man's neck. The sound stopped.
Depp grabbed the bag, running downstairs. In less than a minute, he was already walking through backalley's unnoticed. It took an hour for the cops to find out what had happened, and by that time he was back inside his lair.
Looking in awe at his new toy.

Eden

Dinner was brought in to me by Lissa, her head bowed as she looked fearful of me? I did not understand why she feared me so much?
"Thank you Lissa." She set the tray down beside me on the desk and quietly asked me if I needed anything else?
"No thank you Lissa." My voice carrying a hint of curiousity at her demeanor. Odd woman, acting afraid of a child. She best hope she never has son's.. they're terrorists from the get-go. I smiled as she left and went back to reading. I needed to learn how to best harness this gift/curse I was carrying around.
Master had warned me that to get too angry would cause many people harm. Did I want that? I was torn between the powerful feeling and the 'do what's right' feeling as well. Power was more thrilling and commanded respect.. Being nice got you no where but stepped on! (watch alot of tv..) I smiled again, picking up the cubed seasons chicken and nibbling on it as I read some book with some cheesy lesson on 'being honest and fair'. I gave a little snort, they obviously did not live in the real world!
Picking up that book, I chucked it over my shoulder and into the corner. Hopping down I hunted for another book to occupy my mind. Hell, I had no instructions, what was I to do now?! Sit in this house forever? Then a thought crossed my mind.. Why not go out and explore the world now that the doors weren't barred? A shiver ran down my spine, I was told so many times the only safe place for me was here at home. To go out would risk much, for me and for this world. Whatever that meant? I could protect myself easily. Maybe it was how I protected myself that worried Master?
He did often tell me killing was against God's rules.. Well I didn't see anywhere in there God's rules on walking dead people? How can you kill something twice? I needed some new philosophy books to entertain me... that or a lawyer to argue with.. I grinned wickedly as I thought about tormenting some lawyer with the knack for only telling the truth! Messing with people was always fun, but again it was wrong! I was too torn to think straight, so many things inside my head. It was ok to lie sometimes, incases of friends and your opinion but you are told not to lie?
Sighing heavily, I grabbed a book on travel and climbed back onto the chair to read. I finished my meal, the book was boring as hell and I was tired. I called Lissa in to get the plate and made my way upstairs and into my bedroom. Taking one look around, I noticed for the first time in ages, my room didn't look like a childs room, it was decorated as a woman would decorate. Course that ugly pale purple curtain had to go, who put that in here?! Cursing the morons in this house, silently, I went and crawled up into my bed.
I glanced over at the door, it had been left open. All well, I did not want to do 'parlor tricks' and shut it. i would wait for a maid or someone else to do that, if they bothered. Inside me, I am told, is great powers. To heal, to kill if I choose. To do great things or worse things. I think someone is lying to me for shit's and giggle's! I grumbled and laid down, trying to get to sleep. Trying was the key word, a grandfather clock in the hallway kept ticking and annoying me. I rolled over and shut my eyes, teeth gritted tightly as the ticking slowly got louder and louder. I rolled over again, the clock still making that aweful noise until finally I felt the heat in my body rise and my temper flare.
"SHUT UP!" I yelled so loudly I felt the house shake.. No the house was shaking!? I jumped, the air coming from my lungs began to feel icy cold as my fingers clenched the sheets. Not in fear but temper. I watched as the clock went sliding down the hall way past my door and vanished. I heard a sudden crash and knew the clock was silenced. Slowly my breathing returned to normal and my hands let go of the torn sheets. Temper no more.. My heart beat hard and fast, that was..... wow!
Jumping down from the bed I wandered to the doorway and peeked out. Lissa was no where in sight, that's a bonus but the clock was in many many pieces against, imbedded into the wall and a pile on the floor. Cocking a brow I tucked my head back into my room, shut the door and crawled back into bed. It was time to sleep and then I would figure out just what the fuck I was going to do other than sit in this damned house!! I chucked the doll head out of my bed and fell asleep.

Daryn moved down the street slowly, wondered what was going to happen. He had been in this city now for over three hours and had been told by a snitch of his that there was a haven of undead in the area. He moved to the area and wondered what he was going to find when he got there.

"I don't like it," Dyne chased a few strands of golden hairs from his face, as he sat down looking at the ball that had been placed in the center of the room. Inside the glass, a dark pool emerged, that didn't seem to have a lack of light as much as it tried to suck all of the light into it. A tiny black hole that drank in everything close to it.
Depp made it a purpose not to look at it. Others couldn't help but peer into it, but he made sure his back turned to the orb the entire time.
"I didn't think you would Dyne, that isn't the point. The point is we have a lot of planning, and this is just the first step."
"It's a pretty big step," his eyes finally tore themselves from the crystal ball, looking at the figure sillouetted in the paneless window, "That was a werewolve's manor. They won't take this lightly."
He waved the thought away, as if it were some pecky fly in the room, "Once we have the child, it won't matter."
Dyne stood up. The way he did so made everyone look at him, precious attention given up from the orb to see the man's now reddened face.
"I'm tired of this destiny talk Depp, a lot of us are. This power is great for bed time stories, but we are taking some big ass steps to make them come to light. When Forland tried to overcome the wolves..."
Depp turned back to the man, his pace easy and calm, "Dyne, we all know the feud that came from that. This is different, I don't care for the wolves, or their loyalty. Don't you see? I want something bigger than that, bigger than all of it. Once we have the power, once the child is ours, alliances won't be aquired, they will be taken. Those who are not with us, will fall before us."
Dyne, a young man, but powerful as well, had heard these stories all too often. At one time they moved something inside him, a dark hunger that fed off of the greed and power that held just before his grasp. Now, however, they seemed as far away as childlike memories.
"We've heard your rantings before Depp, but this is too far. Even the vampire factions are against your wishes."
Depp growled something deep in his throat, "Once we have the girl, they will see, they will all see."
Dyne held his tongue, for the moment, sitting back down to look at the crystal ball. He had doubts, clear abandonments to this ideal citizenship, but for the time being, he would sit and wait.
Let Depp bury himself in enemies, and then he would step in.
Plans of his own already began forming inside his head.
Depp turned back to the window, staring into the darkness.
The lines, it seemed, were being drawn.

Eden

The next day came and by mid day I was bored out of my mind. I needed something entertaining to do before I expired into old age instantly and took up gin.
So decided I dressed in something moderately my age and yet not that aweful color of pink, brushed my hair and teeth, smiled and winked into the mirror.
"You're star material baaaaaaaaaaaaabeeeeey!" I chuckled and climbed down off the stool and strolled downstairs and outside.
I glanced around and began walking. people stopped and looked at me, a few asking me if I was lost as well..
"Mind your own business lady!" I would retort with a sassy little voice and moved along. I spotted a strange looking man carrying something under his coat and curiously stared at him a few moments before moving along my way. Spotting an ice cream vendor on the sidewalk ahead of me I sauntered up and ordered a double scoop of cookies and cream.
"two bucks little girl.." he spoke up.
Oh, well shoot, I forgot my wallet.
"I don't have any money."
"You dont have any money? You know it is stealing if you can't pay for it. right?" He looked stern and his higher than might mannerisms annoyed me. My eyes narrowed and the dark cloud inside boiled a little, I focused on his mind, "No, You will give this to me, say thank you for serving me and go on about your business and I won't pay for this ice cream!" My small voice demanded. His body tensed as he gasped, his hand clutching at his numbing left arm as spittal began to dribble from between his lips. His eyes grew wide and suddenly as it began it stopped.
"Yes Miss..Pleasure serving y-you. On the house!" He grabbed his cart by the handle and sped off as quickly as he could, his head never looking where he was going but where he was, at me.
Guess he didn't see the bus coming, or perhaps he thought I was a cute little girl? Either way as I sat down on the bench to eat my ice cream the tires squealed, and ice cream went soaring everywhere, landing on several clean looking cars. Cops showed up, ambulances came and went, Poor guy..
"Stingy buggers.." I smirked, and turned my head, feeling the eyes of that stranger on me once again. I held his gaze with one of my own, daring him to pester me as well.

***3 days later***

Rock decided to go out into the city for some food, he made sure that his curse wouldn't take over his sences "And some beef, about 30 lbs. of it."

"Do you have that kind of mony?!"

"Seing that you have a sale today, 50 bucks isn't that much."

The owner raised his eye brow, but complied.

'This should hold me for about two or three weeks...' He thought as he walked throught the streets, being a Kitsunehad its advantages. Fighting in thse tournamnts where any thing gos could be really dangerous.

Rock saw a croud gathering and a little girl walking away, calmly, "Its her..."

Eden

I finished my ice cream, licking my fingers and looking at the five cars being towed away covered in a gooey mess.
Yup, that ice cream man should have learned how to cross the street! I turned and looked back at the stranger, still staring intently at me. Now why would he keep staring at me? Did I have ice cream on my nose? Curious, but he was not important. Or was he?
"Hmph.." I shrugged and got off the bench, walking along the street, further into the crowd of the city. Curiously stopping here and there to see what was in shop windows. Now how did women spend nintey percent of their lives in these places? I just did not understand that at all since nothing caught my eye as interesting but a waste of space. I stopped again and picked a flower from the crack in the side walk, sniffing it's sweet scent and turning to look behind me. And there was that stranger again!
"What do you want!?" My mind melded with his as I forced my words upon him, making him accept and hear my voice inside his head.

Having kept a wide range of distance from him for sometime now, Claire decided now would be most apporpriate to approach the other hunter. For several minutes she had been perched in utter silence atop the bottom rung of a fire escape. It had surprised her that he hadn't yet perceived her presence. But she guessed that he was on the trail of something far more interesting than herself. Even better. Perhaps she would be able to preview his skills sooner than first thought.
She leaned over and plucked a minute pebble from the gritty street. With steady eyes she gazed upon him, continuing to study and learn. After another silent moment he still had not moved from his place. Fine. She was approach now. Purposely she launched the pebble from between her fingers with the flick of her thumb. The pebble landed with a light click on the toe of his shoe. The sound acted as a cue that would have easily caught his attention. In fact the flick of her thumb should have aroused his awareness.
With hands tucked into the pockets of a worn leather jacket she sauntered forth from her spot on the fire escape. Her shoes were allowed to crunch on the grit-littered street. She tossed a nod his way, a soft, half smile gracing her lips. "Evening Daryn."
