My novel is sort of chick lit meets porn:

does this seem like a good combination? what sort of ideas do you think would go well with this mix? I know people are going to say 'romance' but my story is pretty raunchy, it's just written in that chick lit conversational style. There is a romantic element, but I think it could work for other stories too. Think sex and the city.

Yeah, there's definitely a sex and the city tone. Pretty good writing, and congrats on finishing a Nano. I'm not, overall, a fan of the chicklit genre, so I'm not necessarily the best person to comment. However, my most common criticism is that the genre tries to hard to capture some sort of 'everywoman' quality. I'd rather hear that women are individualistic freaks (much like guys), rather than cookies that can be divided into four flavours, as certain TV shows do. Again, not a critique of your piece here, just the genre in general.
