I'd probably be bashful and shy in a corner. Either that or really drunk (trying to get over being bashful and shy). Probably why I didn't go.

It was honestly a rowdy talking/yelling/laughing crowd. There wasn't any being bashful...not with the incredible range of topics we covered. If I tried relating it, everyone would yell, "Bullshit!" Everything was relaxed and people were very nice. Even the people I didn't know or rarely talk to were incredibly warm in person. It was a very nice gathering, and not nearly as naughty as you bunch of pervs think.

Thank you Sarahh for doing so much work to make everything great! You deserve kudos indefinitely. You are also an absolute doll. You made me feel warm and accepted in the first 5 minutes.

But I can't believe I'm packing to go home right now. *groan*

And there are some fabulous kissers in the AH! (Male and female - ahem.)

But I must echo what imp has said several times during the past few days.

Every person I met was just as they portrayed themselves online. No surprises. Within minutes of meeting, the real life person blended with the online and we all talked and laughed as if we'd known each other for years and years.

I may not have any rum for awhile - laughing - but I am certainly up for the next Lit-together!

I second S-Des's kudo's to Sarahh, everything went quite smoothly at the airports with pickups and such. Every minute I spent there was fun, fun, fun.

On Sat. Slyc, Rach and I were headed back out to Schaumburg from the Art Institute on the train. We were discussing our experiences with writing and such and talking about our stories. We were trying to be quiet but this young lady accross from us kept looking up from her book at us.

Eventually, she put her book away and asked us what we were talking about. Slyc told her we were all writers. She asked what we wrote. Our answer was fiction. She asked what kind. Slyc said Adult. Her eyes got big and she said 'Really'. The discussion then went on to were we where from and why we were in town, etc.

It was just funny as that was the second time in two day's a woman as asked someone from the group.

It was so cool.
