Chicago Litogether II

Probably going to have to go a few days early also just to get in all the resturants I been missing lol

Starts making the list........

 sorry

But just think, its only a few weeks away !

Actually its been about 2 years now since I was last there, not even sure if the same places are still open.

Two months away....I haven't been back in 2 years myself.

Booby's is still there...I checked! ;)

Isnt Boobys the Gyro place ?

I will have to look around and see if I can find some receipts from a place I was at last time, I keep thinking Gibsons for some reason, a steak house.

Then there was a pizza joint down by the Holy Cow, and the Hotel I always stayed in, Niko I think, wow , my memory is going.

Yummy is right, I like them kind of menus.

OK, adding it to the list of things to try. Since I never lived there, just visited I dont know all these hidden places to go, so I am taking notes here :D

The list is growing of things to sample, now I have all this food to add to it ;)

Oh how can I forget that, I do love the deepdish, or stuffed pizza.

Ok, your going to have to send me a list, or somehow let me know where all these places are.

Do they have tour guides there for the food ? :D

But you never know, the get together sounds like so much fun, I may not get out at all, yep, going a few days early for sure.

Hotel information is up on the AH ... It's official :nana:

Radisson O'Hare, located in Des Planes
$75/nt
Need to PM our hostess (SweetSubSarahh) if you are planning to attend, as hotel is requesting a list of who will be booking rooms to make sure they are all grouped together in the hotel.
For more information, check out any one of the three threads on the Lit-together over in the AH

But it's finally official :nana:

Bump and grind, baby!

$74.00 Per Room Group Rate Charge

HOTEL PERKS:
FREE 24 hour shuttle to and from the airport and the surrounding area. The shuttle runs nonstop every half hour.
FREE Parking
FREE High speed internet, wired and wireless

Room Choices: All have balconies
* One King Sleep Number® bed
* Two Double Sleep Number® beds
* One King Sleep Number® bed with a sofa sleeper

In order for us to get a block of rooms on the same floor or two floors, I must submit a list of names to the hotel. If we have everyone call in separately, the rooms will be scattered throughout the four floors.

So - if you know you will be attending (or are pretty certain you will be) please PM me with your name or a name you will use to check in. One name per room is all they require. I told him probably 15 rooms, a mixed group (some people know they will not have roommates so they may choose King instead of Double, for instance).

I plan to call him back tomorrow with questions we'll have. As far as I know, we're not being penalized for not filling the 15. But I will ask.

ALSO:

I've reserved a meeting room for Friday night from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. The room fee is $100 (without food) but he's sending menus. (It's 640 sq. feet, all they had, but that's big enough for 40 to mix and mingle, isn't it?) There's a pretty good chance we can get decent munchies and soft drinks (and bring our own liquor, unobtrusively, ahem) for less than $10 a person. Not sure how to collect this fee from everyone yet. I do know we won't let just anyone in, they would have to check in on Lit beforehand.

Chicago residents (who don't need hotel rooms) please let me know if you'll be attending. That way I can order enough food for Friday night!

So. It's ON. PM me as soon as possible! I need names and room preferences, please!

Repost. :D

I'm in! :nana: I'm coming in Thursday evening ... I'll have to finalize things as it gets closer. I always have to seem to work my schedule around the mouse's sperm donor

I am planning on coming in Thursday evening and flying back home on Monday morning...the air fares are much more reasonable that way.
