Alrighty, plane taken care of--I land at O'Hare at 130 pm on Friday--now to see about a place to stay.

ETA: I am on the phone with THE most incompetent reservations clerk on the PLANET. I've repeated "Author's Hangout" three times AND given her the number ... and she says: "Arthur's Hang?"

They don't have any rooms, but doubles and nonsmoking. So I have a room for my hub and I if he goes with two beds.... guess if he doesn't come then well. . .

Nice that we have some time to get plans finalized. I'll have to wait until the beginning of next month to book my flight. Then I'll work on the reservation.
Question: I don't have to, but I prefer dealing in cash. So if anyone has a room reserved already, and wants a room mate (I'm usually quiet and keep to myself, and I can smoke outside, no biggee), I wouldn't mind hearing from you.
Otherwise, I'll get one of those prepaid debit cards and handle my own affairs.
