i was looking at one of my course's syllabus online..and look what it said!!

**Las Vegas Option. On exam #3 only, if a student has achieved a minimum grade of 70 on each of the first two exams, he/she may attempt to answer all 50 of the questions on the third exam incorrectly. If a student is able to incorrectly answer all 50 questions on this exam, then a grade of 100% will be entered for this exam in the gradebook. All questions must be answered and no questions may have more than one answer. If a student is unfortunate enough to exercise this option and answer at least one question correctly, then the Las Vegas Option exam becomes the exam which the student is allowed to drop.

this teacher is clearly cool..or insane..i'm so excited!

Sounds pretty sane to me. You'd have to study pretty well to make sure you didn't answer anything correctly.

I think it deals more with the people than the lines drawn on a map, its been a long time since I took a geography course though.

lavy: good luck tomorrow! maybe you will be surprised. it's been known to happen, right?

Would the student have to put answers that make a little bit of sence? Because if you were trying to answer all the question wrong, you could just put stuff like "Super Mario", "Metallica", "google", etc for your answers, and since they are not the right answers would the student still get 100%??

most of the questions will be multiple choice. so..i'm sure all the answers will be very close to being correct..and hard to figure out and miss unless you *KNOW* which answer is the right one

Ahhh.. that makes a lot more sence. I knew not they were very close multiple choice.

Thanks for the clarification(sp?).

Yeh, but it's still a no lose situation, lol. Sounds pretty cool and and for me mulitiple choice tests were always so frigging easy. I wanna try it just to see if I can do it, lol.

The Las Vegas Option for me has always has something to do with a big breasted lady in a blue sequin dress bringing me free drinks while gambling and waking up under a table in an all-you-can-eat buffet. God I miss Sammy Davis Jr.

I think this may be a technicality but what if you just put your name on the test and turned it back in blank? You'd not get one right on a standard test scoring system. Maybe the intent here is to get you to learn the material so well you can purposefully answer incorrectly, BUT it doesn't mention if you "have to answer each question" just attempt to answer each wrong. What defines an attempt?
