I am not an author so feel free to flame me or whatever, but I'd like to hear cheating stories from the wives perspective. Particularly with them justifying it.

There are literally thousands in the Loving Wives catagory. Ignore the scores, they tend to be more about what certain people find acceptable rather than any mark of quality. Just click on a few until you find one that is wife's pov.

I'm not sure if any of the AH regulars are into this specifically, but others know the LW category better than me.

My stories are mostly about swingers, and some people think even consensual situations like that are "cheating".

But my Book Club series has a few stories about wives who go to work at a local brothel on evenings when they know their husbands are cheating on them.

You might appreciate the story:

"Going Down Together" "Beware the wrath of a woman scorned."

"Cheated Wives' Club" "Cheating husbands might be surprised how we spend our time."

"It’s None of Your Business!" "Husband tells wife to mind her own business, and she does."

These ones were not consensual swinger situations. And you might like the prequal story of how the club was started with:

"The Fucking Bitch!" "Treat her like a mother, fuck her like a whore!"

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions. I have found a few from the women's perspective but there are few that give her justification or reasons for her actions. It's usually from the man's perspective and end with BTB.

Having said that, thank you.

How about we shake things up? Let's hear it for the cheating stories from the perspective of a construction worker. What's it like to come home from a long day of physical labour, forced camaraderie and polluted air, and then have to think of an excuse to go visit your side piece?

Or from the POV of someone who's been married for sixty years? Or someone with an incurable disease? Or a billionaire's partner? Or the child of divorced parents?

I will say, the three I linked are my own writing. They are from the perspective of the cheating wife, and each gives an attempt at justification for the cheating. None of them are BTB, they all end fairly hopeful for each woman.

I can't really recommend any outside of my writing because it's not something I read here specifically because of the reasons you stated. So all I can offer are my own attempts.

Why is it called Loving Wives? Very few of those wives really love their husbands. Just called it Married Sluts or something. I will read your story though.
The description of LW says "Married extra-marital fun: swinging, sharing & more." If you have or want a story about a happily married couple having sex with each other and there's nothing particularly kinky about it, then it could go in either LW or Erotic Couplings, the generic, catch-all category, because there's nothing really specific about that, is there? Some stories about swinging, sharing, & more go in EC too, because writers are leery of the reception in LW. You could put a story like that in LW and it might do well, but some readers in LW are actually looking for the extra-marital stuff. The problem is, they're divided in how they feel about it.

If on the other hand you have a story about sex involving people who are married, but not to each other, that's right there in the description of the category and arguably the whole point of it. Several variations:
  1. This can be about divorce, betrayal, drama, revenge, etc. I hate that stuff myself, but it's there.
  2. It can be about a humiliation fetish, getting off on the fact that someone else is getting your significant other off, taking what's "yours." I don't get it myself but it's there too.
  3. It can be about nontraditional kinds of love, loving someone in a sexual way that somehow isn't possessive or jealous like it often is in real life.
  4. It can be about the frisson that comes from breaking a taboo when the taboo is the marital bond specifically. There have been threads here in the past about how there aren't many "taboo but not incest" stories, but they're all over LW.

I’m wondering what you actually want. A sympathetic FMC who makes choices that could be poor, but defensible? An FMC who is trapped in an abusive marriage and trying desperately to break free? Or a “married slut.”

LW is full of men who are bitter about the world and women in particular.

It's a category name give 25 years ago, when the description of the content had a more innocent intent. It subsequently turned into the battle ground that it is today.

The stories do exist, but they quite often get shouted down by those bitter guys. Searches on the older authors of the LW can produce good stories where it is the wife getting revenge on a cheating husband, the wife in a bad relationship, etc. But as EM says, most of the stuff there is revenge porn from the point of the husband.

Myself, I like a good detective story if I'm perusing LW, regardless of who the 'cheated on' is. Action, discovery, retaliation (if that is the way the story goes) or reconciliation are the key elements as long as things are done in a creative way. Most LW stories are recycled and unoriginal, but a good author can still tell things in an entertaining way.

@Seurat

The thing is, we discuss the LW one-bombers and BTB revenge porn on the AH so much, but if you look at what is actually on the LW board today (and most days) the majority of it is actually some variety of hot-wife and happy cuckold stories. They get down-voted to hell by the vocal clique, but they are actually what the board is mainly about.
