This idea has crossed a mind or two.FYI Cade is KarenKraft.
I'd had the same dim juice for lunch as you until I got what I assume is the same pm explanation.
I knew there was a reason I stayed away from indeed.com.
This idea has crossed a mind or two.
Here's the deal.
Not to start with self-congratulation, but I have always said that I figured the Karen Kraft character was a composite ID of some sort. I won't post the instances, but they're around. I have a good ear; there was something off about her. At any rate, I'm certainly not the first one or the only one who noticed.
I have found her gleeful invocation of Rob's kids reprehensible, and generally find her posting style grating.
As a result, except for occasional posts in "Who Is This Person" threads, I have mostly ignored her.
She has tried to reach out to me a few times. When I haven't responded, she's pouted and put me on iggy.
Recently, she began trying again. Making jokes, winks, kisses and lofty, overwritten, incorrect historical posts in response to things I've said. I remembered that among the things she's claimed, being an editor was one of them. Reading her responses, I thought, "Well, one thing I know: This is no editor."
I have avs, signatures, and images off. I clicked through to her profile and saw that she had a link to some Smashwords books in her sig. One was a book with one author and three editors. That struck me as odd. That's not how it usually works.
I click through to all the other names. The author has web presence, the other two editors have web presence, Karen doesn't. OK, so it's a pseudonym, duh, we all know that.
Click author's profile. There are links to IMDB and Facebook. There on IMDB was a picture of author with Karen Kraft. What the. OK, got it, that's Karen, then, and sure enough, she's a friend of the author.
Click through to his Facebook page, which turns out to be public, and there's the same picture. This time, it's tagged. The woman is Natasha Melnicck, and the photo is a still from a movie set. Google Natasha, and there are lots of pictures of Karen. Click on videos of her, and there is Karen/Natasha talking about her new movie.
I read Ken's bio, do a little more Googling, and discover that his bio, hobbies, locations, writing style/idiosyncracies and even the timing of his book all match Karen. There's the tomato garden. There's the study abroad. There's Las Vegas and So Cal. There are some sons, one of whose names matches the one people have tossed about as KK in the past. The Baylor thing explains the Austin posts.
There is Ken writing a legal article about intra-family statutory rape. Karen came to lit writing about being sexually abused by mom and dad.
The only missing element is the twins, which turns out to be the plot of his self-published book: two young twin sisters save humanity, when--by the way--the age of consent is lowered so we can begin legally fucking girls sooner.
Again, not to horn-toot, but my prevailing theory about Karen was that it was a middle-aged lawyer with an unhealthy relationship with his daughter, and that he was posting her without consent. At one point I thought, Wait, if that's right, those young-girl threads are really fucking creepy. Then I just stopped noticing them and forgot.
I suddenly ealized how many atrocities the character was perpetrating, if he was in fact the middle-aged male. Outing people’s kids, preying on young, cute women, asking for personal addresses.
I am not the alt-outing type. I strongly considered just keeping the knowledge in my pocket. I actually don’t care who is who online, since that’s why people come online. I also often ask people in PMs what they do, who they are. I have revealed who I am to people. I have something to lose myself, and would not want to be outed.
As I was reading Karen’s old posts, I came across something about her dad fucking her or something of the like, and became sufficiently skeeved out by the aggregate that I decided, fuck it. Let him grow some balls and cop to who he is. If he outs me in return, at least my storyline matches reality and isn’t borderline-predator.
I had pictures of Ken’s tomato garden and the matching basil-and-mozzarella posts--and, of course, I knew by then he was her. But I could still think of ways to explain it away, if someone wanted to. I figured, there’s no way to explain away how Karen’s garden can be Ken’s garden if he’s not her. So I made my garden thread.
She didn’t post in it. So I baited her. I posted in the Slender Angels thread, saying that if it turned out she was a fat old man, the thread would seem creepy.
Bait worked: she PMd me asking that I change it, explaining how hard it would be for her if I didn’t, and sending a naked picture of Natasha Melnicck to prove she was a female.
I said, post in my Post Your Garden thread and I’ll consider it.
She did. It was the same garden.
Karen was Ken, and the rest is Litstory.
In the meantime, Karen went into major melt-down/attack mode, made some Sonny vanity threads and the like. I considered putting off the “out,” so no one would think it was retaliation, but then I realized, this isn’t curing breast cancer or killing Bin Laden, this is being a pest on a website, just post the stuff and move on.
So I did.
Please do not worry, if you’ve given me personal information, that I will share it. I never will. Karen gave me none of the information I posted, except on the board. It was all clicks through from her signature page to public pages, and posted only because of the skeeve/predator factor. I have started being more open (in PM) about who I am, partially as collateral so I can ask others who they are. As I said, I have a good ear: I like to hear/know people’s stories.
That’s it. QED and Cognito Virgo Drum and all that.
Love,
Sonny
P.S. AIDS!

I'm afraid someone has contaminated today's neverending cup of coffee with dim juice, but all I'm getting other than hits on the other search terms I put in--eg, people's imdb pages--is various listings for jobs at Kraft Foods.
ETA: I just received a PM explanation.
You shouldn't feel dumb for believing, really. Ken went to great lengths to "prove" he was female. As patient1 said, who would ever think someone would go to such lengths?
I don't hold it against anyone who fell for the ruse. It was very well done.
As skeptical as I'd been, that video I saw when I really pushed KK to prove it was very convincing. The answers I got to a number of questions I had were apparently well krafted.
I got taken. KK better savor the flavor. It ain't likely to happen again.
Here's the deal.

I've sent both Natasha and her mother Zoe, Ken's FB friend, messages on FB. No reply yet.
<snip> She's explained away the things that made me convinced she was a doopy guy named Skylar.
Don't know if this has been picked up yet (I'm only on pg 5!) but following the info in both these posts, Ken doodah has his own video production company and a son named Skyler...
.....
Naw... ken is a douchebag.... Cade is mind-boggling stupid

Did I render you speechless?
Thanks, Sherlock.
No, that was one of Pereg's better posts.

P.S. AIDS!
I heard Sonny died due to complications with his AIDS infection.
No surprise there. The guy was a walking petri dish.
He was a dirty bastard, I agree.
Now he's 6ft under pushing up tomatoes.
About 5 years ago, there were some very interesting Yahoo messenger logs featuring Miles floating around here (hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!) featuring Miles at his cyberin' sleazy neurotic best.
Long story short: Miles used to be "Mr. Mom", staying at home to take care of the kids while wifey worked. She has some executive position. This allowed Miles to troll Lit for women during the day. Woe wuz Miles, he had a high sex drive and wifey lost interest after the kids came, the usual spiel. That silver-tongued debbil convinced some women with self-esteem issues to meet him in Atlanta for sex, after which he promptly dumped them and went on to his next conquest. He was a self-proclaimed "sex addict", you see?
Well, wifey found out and playtime was over. She made him go out and get a job and took away his internet access for a year (!!!), this was around 2005-2006 if I recall. Miles vanished off the face of the Literotica earth then. He then either got a promotion or switched jobs but now has access to the internet again during the day.
Miles' best "pinnacle of sleaze" moment on Lit was the day of the Virginia Tech shootings...there was a thread with everyone expressing horror and outrage and he was using that thread to flirt and pick up some fresh cyber-nookie.
Since his exposure and humiliation he has had the dignity to stop posting.
Not completely true. Ken tries to post every few weeks to see what the reaction is. It's always the same, not what he wants.
