Wow, now why didn't I see this thread before?

I do have a couple of charm bracelets, but I do need to take them to a jewellery shop, as they have gone rotten, so I need to clean them up! One bracelet is from my grandmother, she have given it to me just after my granddad died. My granddad given it to her when they both were on holiday in Isle of Man, so it was a very nice and really meaningful bracelet for me. The other one was given by my mother for my birthday. I was a young girl when I was given them, so I didn't really look after them too well. Thankfully, I still have them, so after seeing this thread, it made me determined to take the bracelets to the shop and get them cleaned up and then I will start wearing them occasionally. Thank you!

Serji, your charm bracelet is really lovely, I have never seen them before. Mine is like a chain bracelet with charms linked to the chain, like chellb's holiday charm bracelet.

I have one like that too, I recently cleaned it up after this thread inspired me. I need to take pics and post it!

I don't have a charm bracelet but I do have my grandmother's. Hers is a lovely, huge, jam-packed bracelet celebrating the 64 years of my grandparent's marriage. There are charms for the birth of each child, major professional accomplishments (of my grandfather's), travels, and other special events. I seldom wear it but I do cherish it. I love looking at each charm and having that little tangible bit of their personal history.
