One of my "collars" is an italian charm bracelet. I've loved charms since I was a little kid and have tons of dangly silver ones, but i hated wearing that one as it catches on everything. When I discovered italian charms I was thrilled. They are still one of my favourite gifts to get.

Before Ma'am even officially collared me, she gave me an italian charm bracelet that had all dolphin links, and added a gold letter D. The dolphins and the edges of the charms USED to be gold, but that has long since faded. I've worn this 24/7 for almost 4 years.

She gave me 2 new charms for christmas and had given me various other ones over the years, so I decided rather than mixing them with my other bracelets (which I don't wear every day), I would ask permission to put those on their own bracelet and wear that on my other wrist. It has the subtle feel of cuffs, which I like.

I also have a bracelet that is mostly kinky charms. Some of them will be obvious, others not so much so, but all have a kinky meaning. I took the D from the "BDSM" charms off my kinky one to put on my other bracelet instead, so now the "BSM" doesn't make so much sense, but oh well, lol.

And finally I have a bunch of vanilla bracelets....family theme, lots of places I've visited and things I love, lots of custom pet ones. All of them have some sort of meaning or memory.

If you are curious what any of them mean, just ask.

Ok rebecca, your turn!! Anyone else have charms or meaningful jewelry to share?

I have a charm bracelet my friend bought me that I wear almost every day. It has a "sister's forever Tshirt", a kitten because Master calls me his smitten kitten, a bagpipe from Scotland, a dragonfly because she knew I love them, and a pair of ruby slippers so I'd always find my way home...

Ohhhhh Seri, they're totally amazing !!!

I was lucky and saw them a few mins ago before you downsized the images.

What a fabulous collection , so totally

Thank you for sharing them, I am just a tiny bit busy here at this given moment but will be back asap ( could be anywhere from 12mins to 12 hours ! ) to ask some questions about the charms and will take some images tonight of the favorites on my bracelet ( the dangling charm kind ).

I didn't downsize them actually, the links do that automatically, if you hold your mouse over them and click, should be able to get the slightly bigger version.

I was annoyed at my own thread when I had them taking up all that room and making the thread scrollable, so I had to change it. It's one thing to tell people to suck it up and not complain if your thread layout annoys them. It's really bad to say that when your thread layout annoys yourself *g*

I've always wanted a sentimental, meaningful charm bracelet, preferably one with carefully chosen antique charms on it.

In all the jewelry men have given me, none has bothered to do that. Interesting.

I do have a bracelet that once belonged to my grandmother. I used to be absolutely fascinated by her jewelry because in the religion I was raised in we weren't allowed jewelry. I loved most of her pieces from those that came from the dime store to those that were made with precious metals and gems.

Anyway, her bracelet means a lot to me but I don't often wear it. It makes noise and I'd hate, hate, hate to lose it.

I really love meaningful jewelry. Funny thing is, I wanted an italian charm bracelet for so long, but I needed it to have meaning and come from special people, not just buy it. I hinted and hinted to my last Domme and she never really got it, nor did my (at the time) husband or my family. Was about to give up....then Ma'am gave me one, right after I broke up with previous Domme. After that, my family wised up and now a lot of people buy me charms.

I'm always terrified of losing the jewelry that means the most to me. I don't wear a lot of my stuff daily for that reason.

Seri...

They are just beautiful!! i am a huge fan of meaningful jewelery as well. With the exception of my "fun" earrings, everything i wear has some significance.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm REALLY rough on jewelry too. If it can be broken it's going to get broken eventually on me.

My husband buys me a lot of jewelry and now I'm past needing or wanting it really. When he buys me something I generally wear it until it either hurts when I'm trying to sleep, interferes with my electro therapy or breaks.

I love your charms though my dear!

*raises brows suggestively*

:D

I have one charm bracelet. I bought it myself. I go to Disney frequently, and decided on my last trip that I wanted a reminder/timeline of sorts of all my trips down there. Each hotel has it's own charm, so I bought the bracelet and the charms that correspond to the hotels I've stayed at on my previous trips to Disney. I get to buy two more this summer!!!! :D

I don't wear it, since I only wear gold jewelry and the bracelet is silver, but it stays on a ring on my purse.

I don't wear a lot of jewelry, and what I do wear is special to me. I have a sapphire flower pendant necklace, sapphire studs, sapphire/diamond hoops (my ears are pierced twice), a sapphire ring and my grandmothers wedding ring. I wear them all the time, and hardly take them off at all.

I'd love an antique carousel charm. I'm not sure quite why. I just like em.

Also I'd love a carefully selected (That's key, btw in charms as well. I want him to think about what he is picking out. I'd like it to mean something.) antique cameo.

These are just a few of my secret wishes. Oh I tell people from time to time, but no one seems to hear what I say. LOL.

It drives me crazy to hear people say they don't know what to get someone they love and are very close to for *insert holiday*. I find gift giving VERY easy, if you just pay a little attention to the person and think about it a bit, but it seems a lot of people fall short on the paying attention part, lol.

I LOVE when a hint is picked up on or when someone really puts thought into a gift. To me, that is the spirit of gift-giving...not so much *what* you give, but showing you listened, you thought, you paid attention. That is the real gift of it.

Thus why my bracelet from Ma'am is so valuable to me. I don't even recall mentioning it to her, but I must have because she hadn't even heard of italian charms before that. She picked out such meaningful ones too...the first ones she gave me was the "beautiful", "i love you" and the garnet stone (recently lost the stone off it so hoping for another)

My grandmother gave me her old charm bracelet from when she was in highschool - it's really pretty. As soon as I find the battery charger to my camera :)mad: don't get me started on THAT one) I'll take a picture and post it.

Here we go Miss Annoyingserijulesperson : laughs :

Some of my favorites and why ........See the tiny ring , that's the first signet ring I ever bought my son. He was about 3 took awhile to out grow it. We measured it to fit his middle finger and when it became too snug it graduated down to his ring finger. That tradition goes on, older he gets heavier the ring and I inherit another charm from the retired one. It has his initials engraved on the top plate and a 'private' message engraved on the inside of the band. Hanging just inside that ring is my baby tooth. My zodiac being Cancer, they all represent something. Two gold cages with pearls that roll around in them. Mom had one, I had a jeweler make me an identical, when the two bracelets were combined I ended up with duplicate charms. Perhaps I should consider them altered to be earrings.

My second favorite is the one which fascinated me the most as a child. It's a tiny gold safe with a glass door and that's a ten pound note folded and fitted in it. The safe door does open, we were never permitted to do so. I could if I wanted to now but the desire has gone. You can see next to that an abacus . Many of the charms have tricks or are semi articulated, there is a 'two' there from my second birthday and even a manky fish head charm that's broken that my father bought me . I simply can't bring myself to remove it.

That is FANTASTIC rebecca! I love it! I think I'm going to have to start giving my niece charms (she's 3...not quite yet) because this is just awesome to keep and add to and have memories over the years. But yes, I can see why it would be noisy to wear ;) Thank you for posting and sharing (and WHOOO was begging for picture postings in the first place girl!? ;P)

Those are some wonderful charms! Wow!

Ohhh thank you Miss :rose:Fury:rose: & Miss Seriannoyingperson , you should start one for you niece, fabulous idea, I am going to ask my brother and his wife if they approve of the same for their girls. Great idea, never crossed my mind.

I go through stages of wearing it constantly to the point I am oblivious to the noise, not recently though, think I'll get it cleaned & the links checked first, it's been a while. I have only seen one bracelet quite comparable in ratio and it was an Elvis movie, I think it was Ann Margret.

My pleasure, yes yes it's allllllllll my fault : laughs :

I'll get around to feeling ashamed.

Eventually

I spent $25 today on a quilt square charm (way more than I usually spend) and I am SO blaming you people!

It's really purty though.....

Yes Miss Seri it's all our fault :coughBScough :

Have you told Dawnie that you tell fibs in Lit ?

Just askun

Oh wow, miss rebecca, I adore those bracelets.

I love the look of bracelets, but I can't stand to wear them, sadly. Not even a watch. They just drive me crazy for some odd reason.

So true. I love giving gifts, although I do tend to go a little nutty obsessing over the whole thing. Kind of defeats the purpose, so I have to tell myself to calm down.

Actually, I'm the same way. It took a long time of wearing my collar bracelet before it stopped driving me crazy. Now I don't even notice it there. The new one is currently driving me crazy though. I can't stand watches, and my other jewelery only stays on for a few hours when I wear it, as it starts to bug me. Very annoying, as I LIKE to wear it.
