Bruno Higgins was like any other TV cameraman in the world. His job consisted of pointing a camera in the direction of whatever reporter he was assigned to that day. Most of the time, he loved his job. Most of the reporters were nice enough, easy to work with, and quite charming. Unfortunately, today he was not assigned to one of those. He had drawn the short straw in today's morning meeting and had been assigned to Cassandra "Kassie" Holler, combat reporter for FOX news.
Oh every camera team knew that Cassandra Holler was clearly the sexiest reporter on staff and therefore very easy on the eyes. The problem wasn't the looks. The problem was pretty much everything else. She seemed as shallow as teaspoon of water. She knew she was stunning and clearly on the rise when it comes to her career, mostly due to her looks, but she was dense and have little empathy for anyone else other than her. Bruno hated working with her because it often turned into him being her errand boy rather than partner on a team.
Today, they were going to be trying to get an interview with a New Orleans Yeyes Festival and Retreat. Basically, it was one time a year in which voodoo 'practitioners' would come together and cast their spells and magic 'for a cost'. It was all hogwash so far as he was concerned. However, it was his assignment for today and he was stuck with the least desirable hot girl reporter for the day. As he waited by the van which was already loaded and ready for Cassandra yet again, he looked at his production supervisor who would be joining us and the makeup artist and said, "Waiting on her again?"
Both of the ladies rolled their eyes and nodded. Neither Shelly or Sammy liked Cassandra either but she was the product being sold essentially so they bit the bullet just like he did. He pulled out his phone and said, "Be right back. Let me know when she gets here."
He dialed up his girlfriend, Emily Witherly, and began to discuss their upcoming trip to her parents house next month.
