Charlie Rose & Ahkmed Chalabi: For the Hour…

I watched this one twice, on two consecutive days, for clarification.

With Iraqi elections less than a month away and continual political pot-boiling from the Democrats concerning the basic reasons for the current war; it was a refreshing hour, listening to this Iraqi government official speak his mind.

Charlie Rose is a skilled and very experienced interviewer, but does not come without baggage as he approached the subject of the interview.

Mr. Chalabi displayed a fluency in English that few middle easterners do, even to the point of comprehending the subtleties of Charlie Rose and calling him on them.

Several times Mr. Chalabi noted: “You are wrong…that is incorrect…your assumption is faulty…” to Charlie Rose, his questions, his assertions.

One of the most interesting comments by Mr. Chalabi was that Weapons of Mass Destruction were present in Iraq and would be discovered hidden in Syria.

Another was his contention and evidence offered, that Saddam Hussein did indeed export terrorism from Iraq to other nations, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and others, prior to 1981 and after that time period.

Chalabi also confirmed that intentions of the current administration, stating that following coming elections and over the next year, the impetus would shift from insurgent terrorism and a stable Iraq would begin to alter the political structure of the entire Middle East.

Prior to this program, I had heard only sound bytes and second hand comments concerning Chalabi, it was a bit of an awakening.

Worth your time to track down a re-showing of the program.

And, seeing him lie in person, you completely succumbed to his bizarro-world POV?

I seldom succumb to any POV, well, maybe now and then a blue eyed blonde with itty bitty titties...

Assuming you have a rudimentary knowledge of the history of the current conflict and the events leading up to it...assuming you have seen the program; then you will have found his commentary objective, in depth, knowledgeable and passionate.

That surely does not guarantee 'truth' per se, but when his expressed perception matrixes with one's own, the logic and consistency of his points are reasonable, it was a welcome introduction to the man.

He may well be an inveterate liar.

Since the 'left' usually justs mouths propoganda, I thought perhaps I would offer the words of the man for judgement.

Chalabi snowed Amicus just like he did Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, Don Rumsfield, John Bolton, Paul Wolfowitz, George Bush, and all the other neo-con non-combatants who lead us into war.

Best I recall, that's pretty much the same group of guys who later washed their hands of Chalabi.

Proves again that Mr. Lincoln was right about fooling people.

Beginning with Former President Bill Clinton, who was by far not the first; continuing on to his not so lovely spouse, Hillary, including the hero of Chappequiddick, the Venerable Teddy Kennedy, the womanizer Kerry, (what the hell was his first name?) and Edwards....and practically each and every revisionist politician and pundit who... "TESTIFIED IN PUBLIC THAT SADDAM HUSSEIN WAS A THREAT TO PEACE IN THE REGION, POSSESSED CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS AND WAS ATTEMPTING TO ACQUIRE NUCLEAR WEAPONS, WAS EXPORTING TERRORISM IN THE REGION AND SHOULD BE DEPOSED!"

There remain to this day, 78,000 missing and unburied Americans from World War Two.

And while every citizen soldier lost in the fight against terrorism is a tragedy, the number 2,000, rings a bell with no one who realizes the necessity of combatting terror where it lives.

The Democrats are truly despicable and posturing unconscionably as they attempt to consolidate a totally negative and 'anti' position on all issues.

Truly laughable...and if you think the American people...those who will vote in less than a year, don't see right through it...?

Get ready for another democrat disappointment in the off year elections.
