I like to pretend I am shocked by the things my teenager does. It makes him think I have no idea what he is up to. All the while I am using my teenage knowledge and experience to stay one step ahead of him

Son's friends used to call me the fbi because I always knew they are up to mischief before they did. Never would have made good criminals anyway. Early on for example I came home from work and asked who had been up on the roof. "How did you know someone was on the roof"? Me....because you left the ladder leaning up against the house!
