We took Owen in to be neutered today. We dropped him off in the afternoon and just got him back a couple of hours ago. It's so sad! He's wearing one of those collars to keep him from grooming himself, and he walks around all dazed. Also, he isn't supposed to rough-house for the next few days, which isn't an easy prescription for a kitten his age, and it also means the little white kitty is going to be lonely.

I thought briefly about posting a picture of him in his dapper little collar, but I want the little guy to keep his dignity so I decided against it. :)

Oh no! What did Jasper do to earn one of them nifty collars? ;)

Ouch! Poor puppy! I guess the collars are better than having them chew themselves up, but they sure make us mommies feel like meanies!

Four legged lamps... how cute... JUST KIDDING, I think they look both sooo cute and helpless:)( ) in those collars.
Smoooches and nibbles to both:)

Oooh, that's gotta hurt. *cringe* Poor pooch. I'll take your advice - collar stays. ;)

The white plastic "lamp shade" collar is kept close at hand in our house..

Sara, our Golden Retriever.. is a butt chewer (the spot just above her tail).. it's a constant thing.. to get her to stop, you just have to show her the collar. Once in awhile the urge to chew is to much, so she will sneak outside and into the corner and chew to her hearts content. Then she gets the collar and the dreaded spray (I'm sure it burns).. so she has to hide until the collar comes off, because I know the poodle next door points and laughs.

Post a pic of Owen, so I can show Sara that even cats have to be humiliated once in awhile.. :D

Is is rather pathetic to see our animals with that infamous collar!

When my late german shepherd mix was young and we had her neutered, she walked slowly around and had us laughing the first night since anytime she would hit a wall, she would just stand there and wait for one of us to redirect her!

Fortunately (or not!) she perked up the next day, driving our older dog nuts by bumping him in the butt everytime he stopped in front of her (she followed him everywhere!).

Then the cute not so little darling learned to scoop up her toys and carry them around with her as she played through the rooms! Tell Owen it won't be for long! Poor darling!:)
