These two women insected with my pre-teen hormones and my life was never the same after. Probably a good thing I never saw this photo then. I'd never have left the bathroom.

Ted's thread got me to thinking about changing styles in swimwear and the current fad of remaking old TV shows into theatrical movies.

What fantasies could a remake of Bikini Beach or Beach Blanket Bingo generate if the costuming was upgraded from the modest two-piece swimsuits and "baggies" that passed for risque swimwear in the sixties and seventies to today's Wicked Weasels and Speedos?

What series or movie featuring "bikinis" would you like to see remade with today's version of a Bikini?

LOL -what a beautiful photo. I was born later, but LOL.

Edit: I am not sure what could be sexier than a tease? :)

Gilligan's Island would be a good place to start with new faces, of course. And Mrs. Howell must stay completely clothed at all times :(

Why? We Old Farts need fantasy material, too. Of course, it depends on who is cast as Mrs Howell.

Dawn Wells could play Mrs. Howell and wear an old-fashioned, very modest swimsuit -- like the one she's wearing in that picture without offending very many people. :p

Damn, and Daisy Duke ain't half bad either.

The Dukes of Hazzard movie didn't realy update the wardrobe much -- if anything Jessica Simpson's Daisy Duke is over-dressed compared to Catherine Bach's; at least relative to the fashions of the day.

Also, I was thinking more about series/movies that haven't already been re-made but people would like to see re-made with updated wardrobes and "Beach Movies" in particular.

And no, I don't mean porno parodies like the "Beach Blanket Bimbos," starring an Annette Funicello look-alike, rip-of of Beach Blanket Bingo" -- even by Porn standards that is one lousy movie.
