Next time you are in London, we can go to my favorite curry place here in NW5; I just had a lovely big meal from there and they are just awesome. Their chef has recently won a buch of awards for his curries as well so you can be assured they are very good, and not just take my yankee word for it. And we will 'discuss'...

Sounds fun but we will have to wait a while. In a few days I fly to New York and then I am not back until the 18th. Then we are moving (not far, just a few km's away) on the 27th, so I will be quite busy with that. And then in early April is a good friend's wedding and I am the photographer for that so I will be busy with that for a bit as well. And then it's my birthday in the middle of April and Mr K and I might try to do a short trip (I am pushing for a naughty weekend in Amsterdam). So, end of April is probably the soonest time for me. But maybe one or two of the other greater London area Litsters might want to come to. We shall see, hmm? A Bollywood evening would be fun.

Here is an online review I found of the place. I'm telling you, it is good, you should go there even if we can't work out a date.
"The Bengal Lancer used to be the best kept secret in Kentish Town. Now that it has been refurbished as a minimalist restaurant and bar, it is rarely empty.
Perhaps another factor in their success is that the chef, Roopsingh Chauhan, has won the National Curry Chef 2002 London Regional final.
I have been eating at the Bengal Lancer since I was a young lad and they serve many dishes you wouldn't find in any other indian restaurant.
If you do go there, dont leave without trying their Ghorru dumplings. These have kept me addicted to the restaurant for over a decade."
