Change is difficult.
Change is work.
Change is worth the effort.

I've spent the last several weeks of my life making significant life changes. Suprising things have happened. I've pushed my own comfort zones. I've been facing one fear after another and then pressing forward anyway. I'm a whole lot stronger than I've ever given myself credit for.

What is interesting is that I've made those around me uncomfy because I no longer fit into their neat little box. I can't be held down.

I'm finding my voice and I will not be quieted ever again.

Best wishes to you PB. It is not the boxes we let other make for us that matters, only the one we build for ourselves. If that makes other people uncomfortable... to hell with them. You are who you are, and that may be a person they like more if they give them selves the chance to know the new you. :rose:

Wow, that's so inspiring. It's not surprising that others are resisting your changes...it makes them question their own lives and contemplate change they may not be willing or able to face.

Yay for you!!!

Congradulations.
Have done the same.
It's a really good feeling.

That's great! I love to hear about people marching to their own tune! Ain't it fun?:D

Welcome back, PB.

That sounds like wonderful news.

Yes, it is liberating to find you own voice. The next part of the plan is to surround yourself who want to hear it.

I am not being facetious, but as you said...those around you will be a bit uncomfortable. Those true to you, will make the adjustment.

However, in terms of life in general, walking tall and being you will give you opportunities that never before might have surfaced.

Have fun!

You sound great!

Congrats, PB!

I have started similar "changes" myself, and while at times it does feel liberating, it has definitely changed other people's ideas of me. Unfortunately a few "friends" just couldn't accept change. It's their loss more than mine. Yet it still hurts.

Best wishes for your continued journey! I'm hitting a few big bumps right now, but reading your post has already given me a much needed "boost"!

Thanks for sharing!:rose:

Congratulations pb:)

You can do anything you set your mind to do.
Your true friends will be there for you and support you.

Do you have a relationship with your sibling now?

No...some things you have to let go of. I'm learning. The only person I can change is me. I'll be here when and if they are ever ready.

It isn't easy. That's why I said change is hard. Everyday is a new choice...give in to the old, or press onto the new.

I gave someone here every excuse in the book for not going after what I wanted...he called my bluff. Thank you. :rose:

We have something in common, PB. :)

Congratulations! That is great encouragement for others' needing to do the same.

Something we should remind ourselves of often.

You are fortunate to have such a friend :)

PB

I wanna be just like you when I grow up!!!:D

Truely, I have alot of challanges in life, but I'm lazy. Seeing you conquering your fears will help muster the strength that I need to start shaking off my fears.
