Change captive ball??

I have a hood piercing and I'd love to change out the captive ball. I don't have a clue how to do it, nor if it is something I should try to do. Maybe I should just go to a piercing place to have it done.

What say you? Do it myself or go in?

If you go to the place you had it pierced, they'll probably change it out for you for free. The most I've ever been charged for a place I *didn't* buy jewlery was $3, and I tipped $7 to make it a $10.

It's a LOT easier than trying it yourself, especially if you have a harder metal. For instance, I have titanium.

I want to add that if you try it yourself and can't get it back in, you should try to get to a piercing shop asap so that the piercing doesn't close up. Even if you've had it a long time, that piercing will heal itself faster than you healed when it was pierced.
