Randi checked her hair in the mirror of the bathroom while she waited for her friends to do their thing. She had a light sheen of sweat on her brow from dancing and wiped it off. The bar was packed. The Friday night crowd was in full force, drinks were flowing, people were dancing, attractions mounting.
Finally her friends joined her and they all headed back into the thick of things. They managed to shove their way to the front of the crowd to try and get more drinks. In order to reduce confusion, they had all agreed that night before coming to drink Bud Lights. It was easier to order all of the same drinks than multiple kinds.
Randi tried to get a bartender's attention but couldn't over the din of the crowd and music.
"Dammit!" She said in frustration, unaware of the group of guys standing right next to her. When one glanced at her she smiled quickly. "Sorry" she said. "It sucks being short sometimes. It's hard to get a bartenders attention over everyone else's".
She flashed a quick smile at the guy in front of her, realizing he was actually quite sexy.
