It looks like its there. I'll grab it in few, but I may not have time this morning to post the voting thread. Might have to wait until this evening ...

I've got it, Cealy, but I'm on my way out the door. I'll post the voting thread as soon as I get home this evening.

I say we do this. And really, we can get a list of people, but rather, just anyone who feels like doing something. Basically someone starts with a simple anything really. A background, an image, text what ever. Then that person posts the phd (photoshop file) on here for the next person to ad something to.

Each person can only add one thing at a time. The downfall is, everyone has to have photoshop to do this so all the layers can be saved and moved. Luckly the versions don't have to be the same for this to work.

Just a couple points on this : Without a list of who's working on what , we'll end up with several peeps working on the same pic at the same time , which will create more than one image . Taking turns is really the way to go with this .

Also , you commented on everyone useing photoshop . I personally dont have photoshop , but use paintshop pro 7 for all my image editing . Will these programs not work together if after each person is finished they merge all layers into one . I thought I had heard these two programs were compatible , but I dont know for sure . Anyone know about this ?

You can save a file in psd format in paintshop pro but you can't open it...go figure. If it is all merged and saved as a jpg you can. Perhaps each layer can be merged as completed? Or maybe someone with photoshop can help out the person without by receiving his or her additions and saving them in photoshop as a layer.......just a suggestion.

The GIMP is able to open and save both Paintshop Pro and Photoshop files. It's also free. If you don't want to learn how to use it, it's still functional as a go-between. You can open a Photoshop file in it and resave it in PSP format. Theoretically. I just opened it and glanced at the file types it supports and both are listed. Just FYI.

As I stated before, everyone would just take turns. You would post a message saying "I am working on it now" and no one could take it till you are done. The reason with the layers thing is because, sometimes, something might look better behind something else and if you can't move it, then your screwed. I would be willing to help anyone with the layers part if they need it.

I just noticed as I was posting some images that the photoshop psd file extension is not uploadable to Lit.

Valid file extensions: bmp gif jpe jpeg jpg png

So now what?

The way to do is simple. You just have to host it somewhere. Then just post a link to where the file is located. If that is a problem, people can send it to me and I can host it. Just email it to me and everything would be fine.
