I have a pretty good idea who it was that deleted that thread. That person has had a stick up his/her ass ever since I cross-pollinated the threads soliciting for voters during the first contest, all those moons ago. :rolleyes:

Soliciting is what I had originally suggested. I'm sure a poet could put something cool together for yours after seeing it. :)

I'm sure the multi-personalitied moderator, ThePoets -- would have kept that post if you'd explained. Shotgun scatters on multiple boards of the exact same post from one person would amount to spam, in my view. I'm sure you could have pm'd the moderator for guidance before the misunderstanding even occurred.

It's a little passive aggressive on the antagonistic side to bring it up again, without even knowing for certain if the person who moved it was WickedEve or Lauren Hynde, don't you think?

This is my opinion of the situation from only one post and I'm willing to be enlightened if there are factual reasons to change my view, rather than speculative insinuations.

Being that the poetry is purely optional, and not technically part of what's being considered for the voting process, though it may sway votes ...

Ah fuck it. I'd totally dig seeing what the poets come up with for the pieces they're solicited to enter by the artists. I'd even love to see them start a thread either here or there where they're showing the artworks and including poems inspired by them.

The more the merrier. Don't see a good reason not to have multiple poems.

Maybe one day those collaborative books that were stared in the AH can have an issue devoted to the visual arts from here and the poems that they inspire. And visa-versa.

I wonder how the poets would feel about that ... ???

Read what they give you and choose what you like the best. You can always post the ones that fell short after the voting begins. Its all up to you, though.
