Alright y'all there's been lots of discussions and not a lot of poetry going on here, so it's time for a challenge.

This is a multiple choice challenge:

A: A poem about a tangible ring i.e., nose ring, bull ring, cock ring, circus ring

B: A poem about an intangible ring i.e., the ring of a bell, a phone, tinnitus, etc.

C: A parody of a “Ring” song. Ring of Fire, Single Ladies (put a ring on it), Ring My Bell

and

D: R-ing, a poem where every line ends in the dreaded ING.

Poems should be between 8 and 30 lines, all forms are acceptable.

I'm cheering for y'all.

Give me a P
Give me an O
Give me an E
Give me a M

I'm working on my A game, will post soon.

Sorry couldn't resist :D
.
He wears my ring to show the world that he belongs to me
He wears my ring to show the world he's mine eternally
With loving care I placed it on his finger
To show my love for all the world to see

This tiny ring is a token of tender emotion
An endless pool of love that's as deep as the ocean
He swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing, because he wears my ring

He swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing, because he wears my ring

He swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing, because he wears my ring
That's why I sing, because he wears my ring.

Underyourspell,
this is full of bells ringing,
you wrote it well!
I've almost heard you singing,
Just one more bell,
it would be decibeling,
but what the hell,
this is love story telling!

I didn't write it at all it's a song by Elvis and Solomon King to name but two :)

I don't know quite which to fit it under--some combination of A and B, but here's a try:

the belly dancer

with bells on my ankles
and rings in my ears
as castanets call out the time
your music is all that the
audience hears
I bend with your breath
until mine disappears
but as much as I’m yours, they are mine

I’m ready to follow
what rhythm you choose
as my ears ring with shimmering bells
I fling off a scarf
to the sound of my muse
and my viewers watch close—
what new veil will I’ll lose?
caught in the trance of our spell

I never am sure
when your music will end
when my dancing will suddenly cease
when we make our two bows
and my subjects unbend
slipping away
as though they could pretend
that by their will, not mine, they’re released
