Hey, Wanderer :kiss: My weekends tend to suck more so than the rest of the week because 1) I don't spend much time with my kids (no different than during the week, but at least during the week I have work to keep from thinking about it too much), and 2) my communications with Sir tend to be less frequent than during the week.

The hiking weather that particular weekend was decent, but the trail that I had chosen to explore had been flooded out by rains earlier in the week :(

Wanderer, I am self employed, most weeks I work every day. But officially, my shop is open Tue-Sat, so yes, I do work Saturdays.
I love back rubs :) I would gladly 'suffer' through one every day. I would even make some lucky guy very eager to give me one every day with a fun reward ;) :devil:

I have decided to do no work today - well, other than housework. And study. No 'work' work today. I had thought about going for a hike, but neither of the kids were at all interested :( It's a gorgeous trail that circles through the woods and extends right to the basalt shoreline and on the return arc comes to a beautiful ribbon waterfall. It's close to a 2 hour drive from here, but I really wanted to share it with them after 'discovering' it a few weeks ago. Alas, they do not have the interest in nature that I do :( I would love to share it with somebody one day, though...

I like coming here - it is a fun break from reality. Since reality is not quite so positive right now, I am going to try to sneak in here at least every couple of days or so for a little pick-me-up :)

Sounds beautiful! I'd wanna make sure I had good gear to do that hike. That would also be a beautiful picture (with your face towards the waterfall, of course)! ;)

The trail isn't a rough one, Wanderer. A walking stick, good hikers, and a water bottle would be all you would need. A camera would by handy, too ;)
I took some pics when I discovered it. Perhaps I'll upload one of the waterfall later (although it doesn't have me in it)

I shall work on some more pics to put up here. Any suggestions? I am open to any and all ideas that people want to see.

Right now, I am taking a break from studying for a bit. I started writing a story last night to submit to Lit. I haven't written in a long time, but I used to write a lot of poetry and stories. Seems like a lifetime ago... I wrote a little over 2600 words last night, and my mind was just churning when I stopped and I found it difficult to fall asleep :eek:

I am a very tired girl now...

I'd love to see your lovely body in some lace. I know that was suggested by someone else, but I think you've got a good figure! :)

The reason I'd want good gear is that I'm not quite the sculpted shape of clay you are! :) It's been a while since I've done any major walking. So, that water bottle would probably be pretty big! :p

And where can we find your prior works? Are they on Lit? I'd love to read and enticed by your brain as well...

It's Thanksgivng this week here in the U.S. Doesn't Canada have theirs a few weeks earlier?

I have only had a couple of poems included in an anthology back when I was much younger - senior year in high school. Everything else I've written has just been for myself.
And yes, our Thanksgiving is in October.
