Oh I'm just going to visit up there. I can handle about 4 days of cold but that's it. Ha ha But I can't wait to get up there. I need my little vacation REALLY bad!

I've been off work since June 2nd. So I have had work withdrawals. I'm used to a 50 hour week normal down to nothing but time in the cast and healing.

I don't know how you're doing it. That's a long time to be off of work. How are you feeling these days? How much longer are you down for?

a few more months at least.
They just reconstructed the achilles tendon on Oct 26th.
The doc says 3 more months in casts and no clue on how long the physical therapy will be to learn how to walk again properly.
Work decided to terminate me while I have been on medical leave AND cut my insurance off Oct 31st.
I have disability covering me for now but I am gonna need their help to get another job at my pay level.
and of course no one has told me I am terminated yet or offered me any cobra so the lawyer is dealing with that happy crap.

As far as the insurance goes, they have 30 days to offer you the Cobra from what I understand. If you do take the Cobra, the insurance will retroact back to the date of termination. So anything from then until now, will be covered. I know this cause I had to deal with it not to long ago with the asswipe I'm married to. Ha ha I just can't believe they haven't notified you of termination. That's fucked up. I saw where you got an exit survey sent to you in the other thread. All I can say is "wow" to that one..

They tried filing 2 work comp claims on me with out a signature from me even. They were pissed at me because I refused to lie and say nothing about the preexsisting condition.

they made me sit at home for a month before they would even give me any info on disability. So this is an ego problem with the girls in HR.

If they keep encouraging people to file workers' comp, they are just screwing themselves BIG time. I worked in insurance world and I know what that will do to their rate and the fact they may get cancelled. Morons.

I knew my rights because I had to deal with work comp for my 2 knee surgeries. I will never again have anyone medical tell me they don't want to fix anything wrong with me because the work comp will not apporve it.
Some where down the line I will have to have a knee replacement since they chose not to fix it properly. I had Dr. "Learn to Live with it" once and was not allowed to do anything about it. So I learned my rights and the rules of play to avoide that ever again.
I never met anyone who worked in the work comp world who was ever happy or even nice.

Sadly no. Had the family day at Disney on Saturday and then the birthday party for my youngest on Sunday. I was too wore out for fun. Ha ha However, if you are hungover from Friday to Sunday of this week, you can thank me. Heading to Rhode Island Thursday afternoon and I CANNOT wait.

yes but I made it to teh Army Ball 2 weeks after I orginally fell.
I had 3 people come up and thank me for my service.
