Sorry...I just have to share this.

Currently, right now showing on Oregon Public Broadcasting, OPB...and I am again amazed at the talent and the amazing emotions drawn by the group of singers and musicians.

I decided to spring for the $250.00 tickets for two and I am going to ask my married daughter for a date with her dad to attend the performance in Portland on May 11, at 8 pm.

I think she will enjoy it.

So there...

amicus...

I envy you, Ami--I love Celtic music myself. I was listening to a program on NPR just this morning about Irish language music, which led me to think about the influence that Celtic music obviously had on some of the harmonies in bluegrass. Hope y'all have fun.

Thank you, Tony...now if only 'River Dance' would come to town, ah, sighs...how I would love to see that performed live...

I, unfortunately, live in one of these towns that neither big nor important acts ever come to, and if they do, I can't afford 'em...all that ever happens is that I get inconvenienced trying to get home from work, either from the tour buses that park in front of the Florida Theatre and make perilous the catching of the trolley at that point, or the day-glo-clad parking attendants who challenge my right to be in the trolley lot, for which my employer pays, when someone is performing at the Veterans Memorial Arena. If we get Riverdance on WJXT, we count ourselves lucky.

I have seen this show like 8 times now! On tv of course! lol, aren't they amazing? When they do "meet at the caliaegh" I want to get up and dance!

Hi, skittles...thank you...yes...I just sat back in awe and let the tears roll at some of their songs...and marveled at the diversity of feminine pulchritude, demur or voluptuous...gentle and/or, in your face...delightful performance...

What is it about Irish culture or Celtic culture that attracts us so?

for me it is the mystery of those days, the roots that still cling to us no matter how modern society tries to drive them away... and the music is simply beautiful... I am in lust with your vocabulary, my friend.

ah, smiles, grins...slight coloring in cheeks....lust...avatar...cheeks...ahem...

Come on, you know you love this path! Walk it with me awhile... or behind me a few steps, whichever you prefer...

Both grins...I multi task...ahem

amicus...
lol, well thanks for reading! lol, i like constructive criticism too if you've got any!

and have I mentioned that I love multi-taskers?

*shakes her ass at you* oh, oops! I thinks my pants are falling off! Sorry!

*pulls her pants up a bit and blushes*

noope...no constructive criticism...it read well, I saw no obvious typo's or misspellings, but i wasn't looking closely. First person narrative was consistent, story line was congruent, theme was clear if not understandable to someone like me. I totally hated the story...as you might well suspect...grins...

And if you were just down the road a piece, ahem, I would trundle on over and plumb your depths....intellectual and otherwise...grins...what a bad man I am....

amicus...

that must be the nicest critique i have ever had, considering you loathe my story! Wonderful, you are a jewel! And I like pretty shiny things... :catroar:

Linny and I watched that the other night, Ami. It was quite good. Linny even got out of bed and clogged to it. Then she kept me up half the night talking about having seen it in person last time she was back in the old country.

Thank you Jenny...maybe it is just the lovely ladies and the haute couture as I am most always in an aroused state anyway....and River Dance also, love those feisty ladies...

Ahem... so sure of yourself?

I would think you'd be scared after reading my story and hating it so! :p
