Hi,

I'm thinking of writing some mind control/celebrities stories and I was wondering if anyone knew what the T&Cs were? Well actually I was only wondering about one little question I have: Is it ok to base your story on films/other media texts? Like make it blindingly obvious that I've simply added a sexual scene in or something?

I once read a book called 'Pride and Promiscuity' which was basically the sex scenes that might have been in Jane Austen. Like E. Bennet being fellatrix extraordinaire and Emma Woodhouse being a masturbating minx. It was very amusing. As this book was in Heffers right near the door, I think it was legal and I'm pretty sure you can do this on literotica.

Perhaps I'm reading it in error, but it sounds like Simp wants to take actual scripts and merely add the sex. That's illegal, and very different from 'taking off' on a famous text. P.

I've got a hunch both Perdita and Marsipanne are right. The distinction being Jane Austin's books are public domain.

Doing what Simp was considering with some work that's still under copyright protection might be asking for trouble.
