Moderation pending. I really like this picture, though I am tempted to brush out that fire hydrant in the foreground.

I don't want to say which town this is precisely (though kudos to anyone who knows). It could be any one of a thousand of them, once-thriving communities across the country where the tides of capital have shifted and the people still stuck there are left to suffocate.

Yeah.

The fire hydrant fits, on second thought. There was once another line of buildings and storefronts along that street from which the picture was taken. It was taken several years ago, and most of the buildings shown here have since been demolished.

Please reconsider the fire hydrant: it does fit. Rather than brushing it out, you could destaurate it yo make it less of a focal point. A little sharpening of the white building and the one to the right might put in a little more balance.
