Catholics be Damned!
Switching from news channel to news channel; the same subject, hour after hour, I am not insensitive to a man’s death, but I am on the other hand very sensitive to history.
After the pedophile scandal of the Catholic Church, in which thousands of Priests molested tens of thousands of young boys and girls in just the United States alone, I find it truly obscene to pay national homage to this organization.
This medieval repository of pain and injustice across time and space; from beheadings and starvation to witch burnings and the Inquisition; what folly emerges as national and international media bow in respect.
Truly mired in the dark ages and before, this modern gothic horror continues unabated to bring terror and suffering wherever it exists. From turning the Churches face away from Nazi atrocities against the Jews in the late 30’s and 40’s, to the Catholic embrace of National Socialism and the Communist Party.
Perhaps both believers and non believers should take note; the world wide attention paid to the death of a Pope, may indeed bring fear into the hearts of those who fear a merging of Church and State.
The acceptance of this event as one of being ‘newsworthy’ to the extent it is being, should alert those who question the motives of the media in general.
The Exxon-Valdez oil spill only affected a small area, Halliburton detractors would have them drawn and quartered, the Bhopal chemical spill, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island are but child’s play when compared to the evil filth of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Muslims and the Koran are chastised for their inhumanity to man, the Twin Towers, terrorist bombings in Spain and around the world for a decade and more.
And we give the Church Prime time full coverage? Gimme a break!
Had I the power, I would confiscate all funds held by the Catholic Church and sell every building they owned and seek litigation against the leaders of that evil and corrupt organization. I would treat every Priest as I would every member of the Nazi party and Usama Bin Laden’s terrorists groups and investigate and prosecute as evidence indicated.
Instead…a public farce of worldwide adoration.
Woe to all; if I never hear the word Vatican again, it will be too soon.
