So, does a story about Cupid count as nonhuman? He's not a ghost (rather, he's a god)...or is it more of sci=fi/fantasy?

I'm so confused...I can argue it all kinds of ways, but I'm leaning towards nonhuman...what do y'all think?

If Cupid figures sexually in your story, I would classify it as non-human. If he is just there shooting arrows and as an observor, probably the Fantasy category.

Sci-Fi fantasy.

Non-human really is for fuzzy animaloids and tentacle monsters, cute little pixies and trolls.

Besides, non-human seems to get very few reads.

Being a mythological figure, I'd say yes - Cupid is non-human. All the gods and demi-gods are considered non-human, otherwise why all the fuss with consorting sexually with 'humans?'

GO FOR IT!

I thought non-human was for werewolves and ghosts and spirits, etc. I would think fuzzy animaloids would be considered to be beastiality, which is a no-no.

Science fiction doesn't get a lot of action either. I would think you could go either way, depending on which category you want to fill in the Survivor contest.

My Sci-fi works seem to get significan't fewer views than my regular stories. That said I think Cupid could go in either category. He is certinly non human, but a little cherub with wings and a sexual appetite is also probably good material for fantasy. If you are not Sure DN just put a note in the notes field to Laurel that you aren't sure. She will take care of the decision for you :)

Thanks guys...

Yeah, cupid figures sexually in the story, so I guess I'll go non fiction. I figure I'd have more trouble filling non human than scifi/fantasy...especially now with horror as it's own category.

To be honest, it's not reads as much as it figures into strategy for the survivor contest.
