Category Difficulty... Help/Input Appreciated!

Hello All

I am doing an incest-orientated mind control story (I know, done a bit but I like this one, I swear it's good! ) and am wondering, which do you think, either incest or mind-control, would get the preference over the other?

I've done searches using 'Mind Control' as keywords in the Incest category, and 'Incest' in the Mind Control category. The MC keyword in Incest got 74 hits, and the I keyword in Mind Control got 15 hits.

What do y'all think out there would get priority, in this case? The story is definitely incest-orientated, but it does have a mind control element, to allow for the incest and the opening-up of forbidden desires.

I have my own opinion on this but I would love to hear what others think before stating it, so there's no possible clouded judgements. Thanks alot

MC is kind of a strange ancillary category. Normally, you post to the cat where the major thrust of the work lies. But because MC is, almost by definition an urealistic/fantastic cat, it sometimes overshadows even the main thrust.

If the mind control element is simply a gambit to allow plausible incestouous sex, I'd say stay with incest. If it's a fantastic overture that will negate the realism of the piece to a significant degree, I'd say go with MC.

My thinking on it, is that Incest readers will probably accept a plusible MC over tone, like drugs or erotic hypnosis, they probably woun't accept mind control rays or alien technology as easily. the MC readers, will probably not get the full effect of the incest taboo, but are more likely to "go with the flow" so long as you are playing to their mind control fantasy/fetish.

I haven't done any stories in either one of those cats but will offer an idea. Since you have already done a search lookin at the MC/Incest and the Incest/MC maybe peruse through some checking the comments some of the top stories the mixed ones recieved in each category.

Maybe that will help you decide, I dunno.

Of course, Mind Control is liable to get you slammed by trolls at times. Particularly ones that are VERY PC and can't relax and accept the story as just fantasy.
