Categorization question

Howdy gang,

I have a story in the hopper that I  think I know the category for, but thought I'd inquire with wiser minds.

The story will involve and older man and his friend's 18 year old daughter. The mom won't be involved at all (outside of being mentioned).

To me, this sounds like Erotic Couplings. But I wonder if the age gap and relationship would make it fall into the Taboo category? I feel like that category is more geared towards incest stuff, but the word "taboo" can encompass a lot of things.

Thoughts?

My experience is that Incest and Taboo is really just Incest. That is to say, if you write Taboo, you'll have a dozen comments saying 'yo, where's the incest?'

Yeah...just Mature category will take care of you. This is where age difference stories live.

There's no familial relationship for Taboo/incest.

Age difference is absolutely Mature. It's the primary kink for the category, and you'll get infinitely more reads than EC. Absolutely ignore the "Taboo" part of Taboo/Incest, because it's for family fun as far as the readership there is concerned. No familial relationship and it's going to get ignored at best.

Mature seems like the right call. The man will be close to 40, and I hadn't even really considered that category for it.

I also have a categorization question, and this is one time I wish that Literotica would offer the ability to list a story under multiple categories. My story falls obviously in the Mature Catagory. A lonely woman in a loveless marriage is sexually attracted to a younger man. Here is my dilemma: my story deals with other issues that can easily fall under the Erotic Coupling category, and I would like to attract readers who are not necessarily just looking for mature stories. So I have two questions: Do Mature Category stories limit my audience, and do stories that are clearly mature and labeled Erotic Couplings cause readers to feel misled?

Furthermore, if the alternative is just Erotic Couplings, then I hazard a guess that her story doesn't contain much hard-hitting social commentary — or you know, anything else that "distracts" from the sex — that would threaten its placement in any sex-focused category. Which makes Mature better than EC just by the sheer fact it is more narrowly focused and thus more likely to find appreciative audience.

Her story doesn't, but the young man does. That was really the point of my question. That being said, I agree with both you and Rob that my story will do well in the Mature Category. Thank you to both of you for your suggestions.
