Catagory idea.

I've been reading these stories for close to a year now and I really enjoy it

I know this is my first post and I'm going to catch hell for creating a new thread for my first post. But I wanted to ask this question and didn't know any other way to do it:

Why isn't there a catagory for infidelity/cheaters?

The thing I like the most about these stories are how unlikely situations lead up to sex. It isn't even the sex part I like so much. In a story where someone ends up in a fight with their significant other and meets his/her co-worker at a bar - yadda yadda. I found that the most unlikely situations ending up to sex are some of the best reads for me.

I can't imagine that these kinds of stories don't already exist on Literotica, unless they're banned which I don't believe they are. If there is already a catagory that depicts these types of scenes, and someone could point them out, I'd appreciate it; but I've been here a year and haven't seen any consistency.

Anyhow, if I'm way out of line, I'm sorry. I've been reading the forums most of the day to try to get a feel for the community, as I don't mean to offend. Love the stories, this site is really awesome, thanks for it's existance.

It has been discussed before... That is, the "why don't we have a cheating wives (or even cheating in general) category". Frankly, I do think it would be a good idea if we had such a category, but I know many Lit members have stated they think we have enough as is. Not to mention, I'm not sure what prompted the owners to add the various "newer" categories anyway. (Like, if there was a "petition" thread, several E-mails or PMs to them, etc.)

It's possible that you may receive more feedback on this topic in Author's Hangout since your thread isn't quiet a new story idea.

Welcome to Lit. :)

Ah, sorry for the wrong forum.

It isn't so much the cheating part that I care about, it's the pre-sex tension that I like. If someone were to write a story about a ritual cheating experience, I wouldn't care for that.

Actually, cheating isn't even a requirement, I just like that reluctance, but I find that the reluctance stories are more someone dominating someone else, rather than a mutual tension and against better judgement they get involved.

Thanks for the reply though, I assumed I wasn't the first person to have discussed it, I just didn't find a relavent thread with the search function.

Loving Wives has a lot of cheating stories. I am totally clueless as to why.

My first cuckolding story, I posted on the AH forum and was recommended to post it to Loving Wives. It was a decent write, but I got a lot of hate mail for it. And a 1.84 rating- way lower than anything I've written. Of course, there were a few good comments. Perhaps a cheating category would filter them out.

Maybe we could write an erotic story about one of the site owners getting a lot of negative feedback from LW category readers about the lack of cheating category. One of them is so fed up he takes matters into his own hands and we have a NC story....

There is nothing wrong with that I don't think.

I agree, Loving Wives houses so many stories about wives that are not so loving. That inconsistency has to be one of the reasons that this category receives such resistance from so many.

Loving Wives and Incest/Taboo are the two most read categories here. The stories may be controversial, but there are tons of writers who only write in one or both categories (and some of those like to think that it's their writing that gets them the high views, and not simply the category).

Heh, yeah I am pleased that it wasn't. Many other discussion boards would flame you for making a new thread on a first post. Dunno.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll check out the loving wives I guess, the contradition does seem odd. But come to think of it, loving wives having their own catagory? I mean, you'd think that whatever could be put in there could likely be put into most other catagories depending on what takes place during the story. I guess that's why I never checked the catagory, just seems too broad a spectrum.

In past discussions it's been speculated that perhaps the "loving" was supposed to be sarcastic. After all, taking it literally what differences would there be between "Loving Wives" and "Erotic Couplings" other than maybe the couple is boyfriend/girlfriend? Yet, the typical LW reader seems to *hate* the cheating stories. The category as a whole, and as an idea, seems to be a lose/lose situation.

*shrugs*

Your best bet for finding potential stories with the details you seek is to run a search on the story side of the board using various keywords. Otherwise, it's always possible to request that a story is written with the details you want. ;)

I agree, I think that would be a good category. Myself I don't have any animosity for "Loving Wifes" as any forum, no matter if it is about tractors or sex, there always ends up being one sub-forum that gets to be the catch-all even if it was not intended to be.

As for enjoying the pre-sex or non-sexual parts of the stories, I also agree. In fact I have not wrote much lately because the more I write, surprisingly I find it harder and harder to do the sex scenes.

In fact I am in the midst of a Historical Fiction story now. Its quite long at 10 pages, but I have written just about the whole thing EXCEPT for the sex scenes. I skipped over them because it was not of interest to me. At some point I have to go back and add them in, but I have to tell you, its the non-sexual storyline that I enjoy writing the best.

I know, I'm strange I guess.
