This thread will be kind of an anti-hero thread. The time is in the future, 2502 to be exact, and Earth has reached a Utopian state. There are no wars, no crime, no famine, no hatred, no weapons. There are also very few children, Zero population growth having been achieved for a few centuries; those who become pregnant are placed in special facilities until the child is born and then released, the child going to a special place (a creche) to be raised and socialized in another facility made especially for that purpose. This way, the world government can maintain the status quo. However, the percentage of people bothering to bear children is dropping and the population is dwindling, which suits the government, as it makes resource allocation that much easier.
All would seem well and good, but in truth the Earth is stagnating. There are no challenges, no obstacles to overcome, and, therefore, no growth. Why mess with perfection? The earth has no defenses in case something should threaten, and, unbeknownst to the general population, something is very close to doing just that. There is a threat on the horizon that no one on Earth is aware of, because long ago they gave up space travel in order to concentrate the resources to preserving Earth and its inhabitants. This threat comes from a nearby sector of the galaxy, in the form of a race of beings bent on conquering all lesser races, and they are moving towards Earth fast. They plan on invading in about 50 Earth-years. A mysterious race, known only as Watchers, is, however, aware of the threat. They feel that something must be done to prepare Earth, or the entire human race will be subjugated, and Earth will become the latest jewel in the conquerors' collection. The serpent must be replaced in the Garden of Eden, so to speak.
To do this, the Watchers must cause humanity to reawaken to its violent heritage. The Watchers do not have the resources to mount a defense on the Earth's behalf, and wouldn't want to foster a dependency in humanity, in any case. Therefore, they have sent a team to infiltrate Earth. The team's purpose is to foster rebellion and dissatisfaction among the people of Earth, and give them obstacles to overcome, in order to kickstart their growth once again.
The team consists of a variety of aliens, altered by the Watcher's advanced technology to appear to be fully human men and women. These alien instigators are a combination of good, evil, and neutral beings, whose one goal is to spur the humans into a less complacent state of mind, thus causing them to prepare themselves for the coming invasion.
There are roles for both humans and those on the team. If no one wants to be human, I will generate them as NPCs, as needed throughout the story. Sex is, of course, one way to reach the teams goal and so interactions between each other is acceptable and even inevitable.
