if this were done the way the book tells it, there arent many chances for femaly chars. but we could create some, or Durin and Dayel. (elven archers) could be female. this is how the book described it anyway

Allanon - human druid. male
Shea Ohmsford - Human Valemen. male
Flick Ohmsford - Human Valmen. male
Balinor Buckanna - human warrior. king of Tyrsis. male
Hendel - Dwarf warrior. male
Durin Elissidel - Elven archer. male
(i believe thiey are elissedels)
Dayel Elissidel - Elven archer. male
Morgon Leih - Human warrior. Prince of.... can't remember. male
Brona - Warlock Lord. Human, Male
Pindamon Creel - Human. Male. theif
(can't remember, but will find out) - Troll, male. Pindamons partner. thats it i think. so yeah, Durin and Dayel can be female, and more chars can be Female or created of they want. lets see how it goes.

and i would like to call either Allanon, or Shea. but i think i will call Allanon

it's basicly several decades in the future, the States piss off the Russians, so the Russians launch nukes at the states. so the States launch nukes at Russia, so the allies of Russia nuke the States. so the allies of the States nuke the allies of Russia, so the allies of Russia nuke the states, ect. basicly, complete nuclear destruction. i can't remember if it's a little spot in Africa, or in Canada that is unhit, but anyway, as a result, the polar ice caps melt! or one of them anyway. and there is 1 island left that the world knows about. the humans do four things. to stay away from the Radiation poisoning.

they burrow into the ground, and live there, over time becomming short, and like moles. evolution you know. so they are the Gnomes. (live in the center of the world)

others go into the forrestsbecomming kind of like lumberjacks, i can't remember how this helps them against the radiation.... but okay, over time they evolve into Dwarves.

Others up north, tunnel into the mountains, making their homes in caves, in the rock. they become tall bulky trolls.

and strangely enough, the south is unhit by the radiation, and they are normal men. to the east, the Elves come out of hiding. they have lost most of their magical strength however.

there are other races, but these are in later books, so you'll figure them out if this picks up

the humans have come up with the Druadic Counsil. they study the sciences of the "old" days, trying to regain them, but in doing this, they discover magic we stumbled blindly past. then Brona, a driud, went crazy, and slaughtered the other Druids, Brona was much more heavy into magic. he went north, and enslaved the Gnomes and Trolls to do as he would. the elves fought him, and the Sword of Shannara was forged. it shows truth to whever it touches. this will work, because Brona is dead, but refuses to believe it, so he is a spirit, but if it were proven to him that he was dead, he would ceace to be. so now, in "The Sword of Shannara" a group of people must get the Sword, and kill Brona.

oh, nearly forgot, the aprentice of the last druid is the only druid alive. his name is Alannon. but he is no longer an aprentice, as he has studied almost ever magic the Druids discovered.

Just wondering

I love the books so of course im interested in joining.
One queston, though. Will you be using the adventures the characters in the books go on, or is it going to be all original.

Not everyone has read the books and you might scare away potential players by following them too closly.

However if this gets off the ground, i would like to be one of the Omsfords. Probably Shea. Yeah, I'll be Shea.

Oh yeah.

Almost forgot.
Menion is the Prince of Liegh and Panamon's Rock Troll partner is called Keltset.

kelset! of course! lol thanks

as for charechters, if you've read the book, then of coure you're open to any charechter you want, but as i said before, for one of the many reasons, like a lack of female charechters, you cam make up your own, the story line would be a generalization of what happens, the big tentical beast creature at the steel structure could be some other thing,, like a small army of Gnomes. right?

I adore the books and would love to join! I shall play the parts methinks, of Brona and his Skull Bearers. If you don't mind, of course.

excelent. we of course need a Brona. alright, so far it;s
me: Allanon (good-druid-human)
Madcap: Shea (good-valeman-human )
Morgoth: Brona. (evil-Warlock Lord-Spirit)

What about Bremen, and other druids?

I don't remember enough to actually play the part of Bremen, but are there other druids around?

there are only two druids at this point, well.... technically three i suppose. Allanon, the last of the druids. Brona, the evil wartlock lord, who was a druid, and the Shade of Bremen, remember that dark pool they go to just before the hall of kings? where the ghost of Bremen came and talked to Allanon? technically those are the only druids, and technically Bremen can't leave the pool, but we could make some exceptions lol Bremen could be alive if you wanted that part.

if it's okay with every one else that is

Fine with me

I don't mind having Breman around. The more good druids around the better, I say.

what the hell are you talking about man?! at the last... what? third of the book Bremen finds him in the broken village and taken Allanon under his wing. teaching him, using him as a power supply. he had a fair role in first king

All I remember about Allanon is some weird pool of water.

I think that was him. You can tell I remember sooooo much about the book. ;)

*thinks* okay, rememebr in the final battles of the book? where they were fighting the gnomes and trolls, and Bremen cast all that fire and crap into the them? remember the boy that was with him? thats Allanon

time makes your evil dreams of ruling the world true don't it mad? *laughs*

If only i were seven feet tall....

I could always be more then one character if need be

we're either going to have to go with more than one char each, or really try to get more people here, i donno, we have what? three? four people here? not alot to carry this story.....

You might have to let people invent characters, you know, to get the people who haven't read the books involved. They may be reluctant to take on a chracter they know nothing about.

oh, definatly, of course. i've said it before, make up your own char! anything, i'll approve it, or ask for some minor changes, but hey, feel free to come up with your own if you're reading this, the chars i put up at the beginning are only already made chars from the book. they don't need to be used.
