Casting Call For Final Thread

Yeah it's me again One final story to go and looking for new dedicated writers who might be interested in joining?
Nothing is set in stone here, just the plot and initial goal towards the end, so check it out and see how you like?


Story: The Final chapter to "The Family" (or at least we are hoping it will be! )

Title: Curse of the Fallen Quest: Ring Bearer's Trilogy

Pooh and I are working on a history which is almost over (incase anyone was reading it, it pertains to the final thread) Forged Hope: The Binding.

The story will continue almost where Woven Rings left off. Half of the "Family" has died and only a few remain. But the Quest calls for five people, for the five rings.

"Aria for courage," as he spoke, one of the rings dissapread from the circle and appeared on her finger.
"Ray for strength," another ring to appear on his finger.
"Maggie for wisdom," another one.
"Erika for sacrifice," and another.
"And Joseph for cunning," the last now set upon the bonded

Aria and Ray are the only two remaining of the five. This leaves three 'Ring Bearers' left open to any who wish to claim the role. IT looks like a complicated story but it isn't that hard

The Book: It is a collection of 3 wizards spells and those collected at the time to stop a great evil from destroying the land. (The Binding) It contains spells within that only a select few can actually manipulate, but if Mongrel finds it and uses it, he is basicly going to be god (Mongrel is a bad guy, and I think pooh's favorite character )

The goal of the story is to get together the five who posses the rings. The Rings will appear on each character's hand from no where and be unexplainable until you run into Lance (Yes, another of Pooh's characters ) They are to find this book and destroy it on an alter of stone. There is a spell within the book to unbind it and send it out of existance, this is where Corbin comes in. (the Binding) The vampire son of Gwendolynn (One of the wizards/ whatever's) Her protection spell bound the book by blood. Either her son, or the amulet which holds a vial of her blood can be used.

That is it in a nutshell, hoping I did not forget anything vital in explanation, if I did I am sure Pooh will show up and correct me

We have:

Aria - Me
Lance, Mongrel & Willow - Poohlive (he loves a challenge lol)
Ray - NightRay (currently a bad guy)

We need three others. Either human or vampire. Nothing else please. I dont want to try and figure out how a zombie or warewolf got into the mix


Can discuss anything and everything here, ask questions etc. Although the cast isn't set in stone and a few extra's can join, I dont want to let in too many and get it confusing. Mind the Lit rules please and have fun.

I'm thinking that I might play Sacrifice, but I might need more information on the role; that's "might" as in I'll definitely need more information. I'll adjust the character in accordance to what I learn, and post one as soon as I do a little research on the other threads you mentioned...

Welcome Quiet. No problems here. You create your character how you wish.

The only thing set in stone is a ring will appear on your character's hand, and it gives off a healing warmth quality and protection of sorts. You can remove the ring but the character should notice they feel worse without it.

Some how, through talking and plotting, everyone can figure out how the five meet up once again. Pooh isnt on, but Im sure he has some ideas when he does get here.

Hey just sticking my head in to say hi and meat the new comers. Smile currently evil I am, not sheer if will stay that way or not still debating. Looks like sweets got is all the important stuff except how ray turned evil but that’s not a bigy as it happened recently and it may not stay that way. It boils down to Ray has a spilt person alitly one good one evil. As to the one he serves you’ll find out in the thread if he cuntiues to serv him.

Well well well........my old clan. RAy my bloodbrother how are you and of course Sweetp and pooh. WEll peoples I would love to bring back Kat. IF you recall when the family started way back when she was the oldest living/wisest, and skilled in herb/healing, sorcery/mindmagic, and a warrior. If you would like a bearer for the Ring of Wisdom she may just be your girl. And since she has knowledge of Ray who was her blood brother and Lance whom she healed and was romantically involved with we could have some fun. What do you think, I can look up the old BIo and update it a bit for this one.

Hi there Firegirl, long time no see Good to see ya back. Course I dont follow much in ORP, so it might be belated? lol

Well Pooh wrote in Cat dying in "Woven Rings of Destiny" Because I wouldn't let him write another persons character for them. So blame me for that one, but as much death and returning there has been, I am sure something can be worked out with a little plotting. I do not mind at all if you take Wisdom.

We have three guys and two gals (if Fire joins) and if possible I would like to cast another female. Try and keep it even as possible. This doesn't mean people have to pair off either. The hardest part is when continuing this story there is so much background to this story I am not sure what to post in here that is relivant to the story. I will get with pooh and ask him to help with that.

Post Character Bio's in here and a little brief history/recent location or setting. Or whats currently going on with that character please. Thanks again, anyone reading and interested please post in here if you would like to join.

As soon as we have our final person I will get going on the thread. I plan to open the new story with Aria and Mongrel (the bad guy). Her mission will be to find and kill lance. So everyone knows whats going on, Aria was brought back from dying and has no memory of her previous life. The key to opening that door for her is Lance's memories.

In the next post I will give some basics for the vampires we're writing.

In's and Out's

Every one in this thread, vampire, wizard or human will have weak points. No one will be undefeatable. Just lettin' ya know. Now for technicalities.

Mortal wounds- kill .. period. Any bullet in the head will kill the target. Vampire or otherwise. Gutting, beheading, stabbed through the heart with a fork (lol) it kills.

silver only weakens the vampire, doesn't kill.

Holy water on the skin will burn and disfigure and will take weeks to heal. Injected into the body of a vampire, it will kill them.

Garlic- doesn't do diddly.

Crosses- See garlic

No matter if the vampire is new born or centuries old, they all have the SAME strengths and weaknesses. Granted male vampires are slightly stronger than a female vampire. But female's tend to move easier and are slippery.. Not to mention mind games, a female trait.

They live amoung the humans.

Sunlight does not kill after they develope a tollerance. Usually takes only a short time for them to become strong enough to move around. The light does bother their vision at times. Depending on age.

They have a good sense of hearing but can not hear outragous distants away. No mind reading. Only two vampires who have shared their blood with one another can communicate telepathly. And in some cases that does not always happen. Up to the writer of each character.

They eat anything and everything they like. (these aren't typical blood only vampires) Some choose to live solely on blood, but some can control thier cravings and feed less often on blood.

When feeding from a human or vampire, it has been written you take on their memories. Everything they have seen, done, learned, etc will be absorbed into your mind and remain there. very very few vampires will feed off of another vampire.

Hunters are welcome, but if you walk off a train or hop out of a car and 'sniff' your way to the vampires, prepare to die lol Be realistic a little. This goes for you too Ray. Hun, love the posts but stop beating up twenty guys at once

All set I believe. Creative freedom is a must, so I wont tell you what to do or how to get there but you must at least go with the plot. Meaning goals. Find the chosen ones who wear the rings, find the book and figure out how to destroy it. Little sub plots can develope, I dont mind those at all. Pooh is wonderful at creating that sort of mischief lol.

I am trying to recall everything and get it covered in here before we move into the story. Umm try not to stick a definate time into the story. Dont state its exactly noon, or its exactly this or that if possible. Makes it easier for everyone to do their thing. I am going to take a guess and just state there are four groups of vampires. Big groups in the world. USA, Russia, England and Jamica. Sound good? So if three suddenly have these rings appear with funny symbols on them, they might try looking for answers in those areas. Unless someone has a better idea for getting them all in the same location?

It is modern times. NPC's will be thrown in now and then for battles/confrontations. But only one group at a time. If someone in the thread has a group coming at 'us' then we deal with it before moving on. Mind the lit rules and the manners. Please read all posts, even if they don't pertain to you because they might give out information that everyone won't know but will need to know.


Keep ooc's out of the thread, post them in here. If tiny and can pertain to the post above then its alright. No ranting in there please. Think I covered everything? Any questions feel free to ask, nothing will be a 'dumb' question.

Aria

30 years old. 6 year old vampire.
5'6" 125 approx. Brown hair, blue eyes.

Weapon of choice: A set of daggers about nine inch long double sided blades on both.

Training: everything and anything the four years she was alone in France. From Martial arts and self defense to getting the ability down to lie convincingly.

Before she was ever changed she had the ability to link with ESP to minds, randomly most often and see the future partially and see all events in the past. Now as a vampire, she still fights the 'curse' of these visions but she only has to feed on someone to see the past. Of Course that doesn't help out in some cases but she now and then sees things.

Currently she is in Mongrel's manor somewhere in the mountains. No memory of anything before him and his hired mercenary. She still wears the ring on her hand, but has no clue what it is for.

As her normal self (memories and such back intact) She is weak when it comes to people. gullible at times, forgiving and sometimes a bit too trusting. She elected herself as the "Family" leader, but we know where that ended up. All are dead.

Aria found the five woven rings at a pawn shop. Three made her band she intended to use when she married. And two made up the men's band. They all five hook together in a certain way and inside have the longitude and latitude of a cave where the book WAS hidden. This started the quest. Her nosey self wanting to see if the rumored book did exist and if so, did the 'cure' for vampirism exist as well?

She never got to look through the book, but now it opened a tidal wave of evil beings wanting control over the world and the spells in this book. She has set the ball in motion and now has to destroy it.

Description: Known for her unnatural beauty and fiery disposition matched only by her hair Nyara was in the midst of her studies at the Mount St. Michelia monistary known throughout Scottland as the Chrystal Palace in an age where the unexplained phenominon of today were common place and the ability to "See/sense" things were not looked at as freaky but as a gift. Called Mac by her friends Nyara had been playing in a field of heather with the others of her clan near her highland home when she heard the screams coming from their village. She ran as fast as her small legs would carry her but only arrived in time to watch her house burn to the ground her family inside, it was then she was lifted in strong arms and carried to the monistary. The Sorceresses had raised her and taught her to train those "gifts" that had seperated her from the others as a child and taught her to channel them. It was not long after her 25th birthday as she was walking to the well for morning water that a stranger grabbed her from behind biting her in the neck. In a panic she lashed out with her power knocking him away but not before he had drained her almost to the point of death. The next thing she remembered was the blackness surrounding her then the smooth voice that brought her back telling her everything was going to be ok and that she was with friends, followed by drinking a sweet tasting liquid. From then on she was known as Cat and had lived long enough and learned enough to have made it through every battle man had ever known, as well as being accepted by all whose paths she has crossed over the centuries. She was well respected among almost all the families and had made some very close friends along the way. Her skills as an empath/psychic and warrior had made her strong both physically and mentally and there were few who matched her in skill or appearance. She thought of a couple of families as true friends but prefered to remain alone most of the time as there were fewer questions to answer. Having been almost killed once but saved through some unknown force she was once again amoung the living, and the undead sensing she was needed but where and by whom..........and what had happened to the family?

The name is Fiera, yeah...like fiery. I'm told I had parents who gave me this name but yet to believe it. I've grown up in and around this street and that. Don't believe what you hear, I'm small but I'm no kid. Determined to make something of myself I trained my skills in cunning (or conning, all in perspective) until I made a name for myself. Now I'm hired by friend and foe, rich people mostly...to do anything you need a good head for. I can stalk, assissinate, impersonate, and bodyguard. This sword came from a man who I'm told forged it from hell's fire. He was a good craftsman but lousy fighter. Kinda fit's me though doesn't it? Hell's Fire Sword for Hell's Fiera girl.

There is the thread, its up and ready to go.

Let's take our time with this one, not to bore everyone but to keep it interesting. I know in the family a few scenes were hurried or skipped through and it left alot of us fumbling.

There is no hurry to post and I know I am demanding but please if possible no two liner posts *begging!* lol

Pm another writer if you have an idea or post it in here. Goal is to get the ring bearers together and find this book. Goals for the start of the thread.

Looks; 6'6 250 ponds of mussel jet black hear and eyes that mach. His eyes no longer have any coller there like black obsidian with darker shadows flowing beneath the serfs.
Personality; shy most of the time careful about how he moves not wonting to hurt any buddy or any thing but don’t push him to fare the time that happened know one in the village was left alive. He’s part of the family but he tends to disappear for laugh peareads of time to be alone.

History. He doesn’t talk about it much, all the family new is something horrible happened to he's mortal family. He’s mission was to get the book and the dark sword, then to destroy the book with the sword releasing the power in to the sword and then rip a hole in his masters prison for him to get out.

This probably looks fairly shabby, but here it is (first draft):

Age: approx. 230 yrs old (taken in his mid twenties, explaining his appearance)
Race: Vampire

Physical Description:
Standing at 5'11," and weighing approx. 180 lbs, Christian is hardly physically intimidating. His youthful appearance, having a "babyface" when clean-shaven, which he rarely is, doesn't help either. Handsome, but not overly striking, Christian has long brown hair, soft brown eyes, and a fairly pale complexion. His physique is wiry, yet muscled, not bulky at all, but showing noticable strength.

Bio: Born to Pagan parents, his name is almost a parody of his upbringing. A child of the "pentagram," his birth symbol, he was raised to worship nature in its truest form and to praise the Goddess. This faith was lost when his family was murdered by an unknown assailant, leaving Christian to care for himself. He left the village in short time, feeling his existence there was futile given thier reliance on faith and his lack thereof. After wandering for years, mindlessly, he came across the mysterious Isabelle, who seduced the young man, leaving him almost entirely drained of life. Waking to find her still with him days later, he accepted her offer to allow him to join her and her kind. They trained him, teaching him the ways of the "darker breed," and teaching him the art of battle, which in his past life he did not believe in. He learned the basics uses of many weapons, as well as multiple types of hand-to-hand combat. She took to the "night life" with admirable ease, and soon, the two were not only lovers, but truly in love. Kayla, loving the hunt and the battle, inspired him to press forward with more vigor. Since thier meeting, the two grew thier own small circle, making up a posse of friends that kept one another safe from the enemy, while few humans were safe from thier hunger.



How's this look? Sketchy probably, but I did what I could with it. Who he is will become pretty clear once I get to posting on the thread.

And as far as those two line posts you wanted to avoid, I tend to post too long anyway. I've actually been dubbed the king of postal length in one of my other threads...go figure.
