I was watching toons with my boys the other day and even though I did not have a problem with them they are so much more violent today than they used to be ..My two sons love Dragon Ball Z and I admit it isn't that bad to watch but it got me to thinking about my old favorites and when I mentioned Scooby Doo my oldest said yeah dad I watched it but it sucks ..Whatever happen to Capt Cave Man or Hung Kong Fuey..I used to love The Superfriends and they always had somehting positive to say at the end in fact to this day if I get something in my eye I still pull the top lid over the bottom lid to make it water something I learned from that show..So anyway what did you grow up watching as a kid ..Namne a few favorites ..:)

Oh, don't even get me started on Dragon Ball Z! Ugh!

I miss the cartoons of my childhood, too. Scooby was the bomb! Fat Albert was a favorite for Sat. mornings, too.

Well as a child in the 80's the obvious ones
GI Joe...and knowing is half the battle
Transformers
Voltron
Inspector Gadget...do do do doo do Inspect-her-gadget
Thundercats
The original loony tunes were still pretty prominent
The Muppets, ok so not a cartoon

bunch of others

Violence is just in our nature, every little boy is fascinated with guns and swords and such

Bugs Bunny is King!

I was always big on Looney Tunes, and I still am. They used to be on for 3 hours every Saturday morning when I was a kid. Now, I watch them on the Cartoon Network. Even though I have seen them countless times, I still get a kick out of them. I think everyone should watch cartoons now and then. It helps keep you young at heart.

supper heroes, or cartoons

Fantastic Four, Space Ghoust, Spider Man.....Super Heroes cartoons.

Foghorn Leghorn( i say i say i say, boy), Yoshimity Sam,Tom and Jerry, Heckel and Jeckel (magpies)......Cartoons.

Some of the best.:D :D

Cartoon Network

If you check out cartoon network, they have most of these cartoons on during the day, and at night, just look for them, and I've watched them recently.

Jonny Quest kicked ass!!!

Way to go, someplace. Remember the Herculoids???

I still like some of the old stand-bys, and we''ll watch them forever (maybe). Today, I think Spongebob is pretty funny, even if it is silly. And "Ren and Stimpy" had its share of surreal moments.

The get along gang, strawberry shortcake, care bears, fat albert, the smurfs, He-man, and i liked gobots..altho some of the new cartoons are good too..i seem to watch a few with my nephew(he's 5)..LoL I have a liking for Spongebob squarepants, and batman beyond is ok by me..LoL

Voltron

Oh holy mother mary of god!

My girlfriends nephew was Jeremy. He was HUGE into Voltron.

For years I have been trying to remember that stinking cartoon. Every time I see a sword I think of him holding that sword at 3 or 4 and saying somthing about "by the power of Voltron!"

well I am of scooby do age and dont quite get more of the newer cartoons myself.
