Ever realize that no matter how old you get cartoons still rule! Every once in a while I get lucky and find some of the old classics on the toon network.

Anyone ever watch?

The wacky racers.
The laugh olympics.
Fantastic four.
Superfriends and the legion of doom.
Land of the lost, not a cartoon though.
The smurfs.
The flintstones.

Anyone else got any favorite toonage that you used to watch religously?

The smurfs.
The flintstones.

Smurfs kicked ass!

I always enjoyed the duel of a human mind against a force of nature, whether it was Wile E. Coyote vs. Road Runner, or Lex Luthor vs. Superman.
Thought it was interesting that we cast ourselves as the bad guy so often.

The Laugh Oympics
Superfriends
Spider-Man (the original)

For the longest time I haven't been able to remember the name of the Laugh Olympics. it was one of my fav cartoons as a kid. Finally I have a name for it. Thanx.

Sh89

Somemore classics,

Underdog.
Mr. Peabody, it was some dog and a kid with a wayback machine.
Mighty mouse.
Space ghost.
Scooby.
Speed racer.

Mr. Peabody's boy was Sherman. They were a segment on the Rocky and Bullwinkle show, which was the greatest cartoon of it's time -- and still better than about 90% of the cartoons available.

King Leonardo and Odie Colgne -- whatever their show was called -- were nearly as good as R&B.

hong kong phooey!

and although they may not be toons, the Banana Splits always cracked me up

You're absolutely right W. Harold and I agree about your assessment of Rocky and Bullwinkle. I believe on the R&B cartoon there was also a canadian mountee who also ruled cartoon world, Dudley Do Right was his name I think.

The Banana Splits were hysterical but even tho not a toon they still had toons on the show. Gulliver's travels was on that show if I remember correctly.

Astro Boy
the orignal He Man
The Road Runner Show (those 2 actuially did get a 30 min show all their own)
the orignal X-Men

Kid Rock this is about your speed. Cartoons. More non reality for you.

"Dudley Do-Right and Friends" was a separate show, but usually paired with R&B to fill an hour -- at least where I watched them. Dudley may have started as a segment of Rocky and Bullwinkle, but was spun-off so quickly I don't remember him as part of R&B.

Bugs Bunny and Looney Toons have had so many different "shows" built around them that it's nearly impossible to list them all.

Bugs Bunny
Speedy Gonzales
Sylvester and Tweety
Roadrunner (Wile E. never got any billing in the TV show titles.)
The Tasmanian Devil

and probably several I've forgotten all had TV series built around collections of their cartoons.

back in high school, an english teacher told me I reminded him of sherman.

I love 3DBB from tennesee tuxedo and his tales

and underdog,

"in the hidden compartment of my ring I fill
with an underdog super energy pill"

speed freak if I ever saw one :D

Cartoons rock. As I have temporary custody of a 9 yr old boy for the summer, Cartoon Network has been a huge staple of my TV diet for months now. Of course not all of them are good, some are absolute crap. But everything this Tartakovsky guy has his hands in is great. Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, all A1 top notch fare and although the kiddies love 'em, they are really made for adults all the way!
