Mark Neman

HEIGHT: 5'8"
WEIGHT: 180
Blue Eyes, blonde hair, guy next door look.

Mark stood at the corner waiting for the light to change. He was wearing a brown leather jacket a white shirt and a pair of khaki pants. As he gets ready to cross the street a dark blue Infinti G35 pulls into the crosswalk. He's tired of people not bothering to stop right, so he acts like he's gonna go around and then suddenly opens the passenger door.

Getting inside he sees the driver is a hot woman, about 18 years old. Reaching into his pocket he pulls out a Glock 10 MM pistol.

"Alright bitch, it's simple. I'm tired of people pulling into crosswalks, not even heeding pedastrians. So I'm gonna make this real easy for you. Once the light turns green we're gonna drive to Lincoln Park. If you don't fight, or disobey my directions you will live."

Celia McMahon
age: 18
honey brown hair, waist length. hazel eyes, petite, 5'3", 115 lbs, c cup breasts

Celia sat back up, cd in hand, just in time to throw the breaks on at a red light. She shook her head slightly and slipped the cd into the player just as a figure jumped into her passenger side seat.

He spoke harshly to her and pulled a gun from his pocket, elicting a small scream from deep in her chest.

Celia quickly nodded her agreement with the man's demands and when the light turned green, drove towards Lincoln Park.

"Wh...why are you doing this?"

"Wh..why are you doing this?"

He looked at her incredulously, didn't he just tell her. "I'm tired of people like you, not paying attention to the road. Just slam on their brakes, stop in the crosswalk. I don't just jump in front of your car. Besides, I've got nothing to lose, and you on the other hand, could lose your life."

Mark pulls out a cigarette and lights it, rolling the window down a bit. "Mind if I smoke?" He says as he takes his first drag. "Actually I was just being polite, I don't care what you think."

"Look... Lots of people find themselves slamming their brakes on... it doesn't mean they get carjacked! This can't be why you're doing this."

She focused on the road ahead of her and tried not to let her eyes roam to the man's face.

He lights his cigarette and Celia coughs dramatically, completely unrolling her window as she does.

"I'm sorry, is the smoke bothering you? I didn't really want it anyway, it'd be a shame to defile the new car scent." he throws the cigarette out the window.

"Okay, you wanna know why I'm doing this? Because I have nothing... I'm a waste of human life, I'm twenty-one and still a virgin, 'Oh, you're saving yourself for marriage.' Fuck that. Tonight I'm going to kill myself. I figured jacking a car was a faster way of getting to Lincoln Park, rather than walking. Now don't ask any more fucking questions."

As Lincoln Park came into view, Mark told her to pull in, down by the pond.

"Now, we're gonna sit here and wait for nightfall. Don't worry, it's not even 30 minutes til sunset. What is this your listening to any damn way?"

Celia sighed and looked towards the man sitting beside her. As she pulled into Lincoln park, she shifted her car into park and spoke.

"I'm sorry you feel that this is the only option you have. I wish there was something I could do to help change your mind." Her words were soft and she tried her hardest to hide the edge of fear in them. "Do you want to get out? We can sit on the bench over there." She motioned to a bench not far from the car and undid her seat belt.

Mark looks at this woman, a little nonplussed now. I mean I jacked her car, forced her to take me here. Now she wants to sit and talk. Well, what did it matter, now or later, it's all the same.

He nods. "Okay, do you have a cell phone?" Seeing her nod he says, "Leave it here, I can't have you calling the police or something."

Walking over to the bench he sits down, thinking about lighting a cigarette he decides against it. This woman, I gotta get her name, has been much kinder to him than he deserved, if smoke bothers her, he won't smoke. At least not yet.

Celia felt sorry for the man, and wanted to try her best to keep him calm.

"I have a case of beer in the trunk. I'll grab it, we can talk if you'd like." Everything in her brain was telling her that talking to the man would work. She didn't want to have it on her conscience if she was the last person this person would talk to before killing himself. What a waste.

"Whats your name?" She handed him a beer and clunked the case down onto the bench between them.

He kind of smiles... "I'm sure this beer was meant for a party you're going to, a bunch of underage drinking no doubt." But he opens it anyway.

"My name is Mark." Why was he talking to this girl, he's supposed to be angry at the world. But there was something about her.

"I suppose it's only fair to ask your name now." Taking a drink of his beer, he looks out over the pond. This place was use to have fond memories for him, until two of his friends killed themselves here.

Celia smiled at the man and stuck her hand out for him to shake.

"Hi Mark, I'm Celia, and yeah, it was for a party, but it's ok... I didn't want to go anyway." She took a drink from her can of beer and looked at him. "Do you mind me asking you why you feel that all you can do is end your life?"

"To be honest, Celia, I don't rightly know. I mean, it's not like I'm horribly unattractive, I've got money. The whole 'Virgin' thing isn't actually that deep. I guess I was feeling sorry for myself." He takes a long pull off his beer, then crushes the can, before grabbing another.

"Have you ever been here before?" Pointing towards the pond, he says, "My dad use to take me fishing there, never caught anything. When I got older I learned there actually isn't any fish there, it was just a way for my dad to spend time alone with me. I hated fishing, but I loved the time alone. I use to come here in High School and spend hours just sitting, right here actually." A small tear fills his eye, then he stops talking.

Celia instinctively put her hand out to rest on Mark's knee. She didn't know what she could say, so instead she sat there, and inched closer.

Regaining his composure, Mark looks towards Celia, her hand on his knee. He laughs softly. "Jeez, I basically kidnapped you, had you drive me here. Now you're sharing your beer. Your friends are gonna be pissed. Why are you being so nice to me? If it's pity, I don't want that." He smiles, "I'm sorry for bringing you here. If you want to slap me, or whatever, you can."

Celia smiled and laughed softly.

"No, I don't want to slap you, and I'm not being nice out of pity. I figure you need some company more than my friends need some beer." She winked at him and smiled warmly.

He took the gun out of his jacket, and saw her expression change. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna use it." He ratcheted the slide back, ejecting the round in the chamber, then he ejected the clip. With the slide locked back it was now only useful as a club. He set it on the bench.

"Well I appreciate that Celia, I really do. You've saved a life today, that's something to feel good about." Mark thinks for a minute. "How does an eighteen year old end up with an Infiniti G35? It's a pretty expensive car."

Celia sighed a breath of relief when Mark put the gun down beside him. He asked about her car, and she blushed furiously.

"I..well, I hate to even bring it up, because people always get an idea about you if you come from a rich family, but it was a graduation present."

"I'll tell you what Celia, there is nothing wrong with getting a car as a graduation present. My parents got me a BMW when I graduated High School, which I promptly wrecked that summer, drinking and driving. I haven't done anything like that since." Taking a sip of his beer, he really notices how very attractive Celia is, what a bizarre thought, first he kidnaps her and now he finds her incredibly attractive.

Flashing a boyish smile Mark blushes this time... "Please don't take this the wrong way, but I find you very beautiful, that's probably a weird thing to hear from your kidnapper. But there you have it."

Celia grinned at Mark and laughed.

"You think so? Thanks!" She downed the last of her beer and threw the can towards a trash bin nearby. She groaned as it hit the edge and fell onto the grass. Giggling, she grabbed another can and cracked it open.

"You're welcome." After two beers and starting his third Mark was feeling a little brave and he leans forward kissing Celia softly on the lips, slowly breaking the kiss. Completely unsure what to say.

Mark shocked Celia when he leaned in and kissed her. She stiffened slightly, but he ended it quickly and she pulled back. She felt her face go hot and she quickly downed her can of beer.

"Uh...hmm...." She opened her mouth to speak but wasn't exactly sure what to say. Instead she slid off the bench and walked to the trash can, picking up the beer can she had earlier thrown, and tossed it in.

"I'm sorry... uh... I don't do things like that. Well I don't usually contemplate suicide either. So today's just been different all around."

That's just great Mark, someone decides to save your life, and you just kiss her. That's fabulous, are you some kind of a friggin mental midget? While this conversation goes on inside his head, Mark admires Celia's beauty.

Celia shook her head.

"It's ok. Everyone has strange days."

She looked towards the center of the park.

"Let's go down to the pond!" She grabs another beer and throws a fresh one at Mark

Mark catches the beer easily, and begins walking to the pond. He picks up a rock and skips it across the pond.

He cracks open the new can and sits on the ground near the water. "We use to sit right on that rock formation over there on the west bank. We'd cast and reel, cast and reel for hours, never a bite. But it was a lot of fun nonetheless."

Celia smiled at him.

"Some of the best times can be spent doing nothing at all, eh?" She sat on the grass beside him and cracked her can open.

He returned her smile.

"Yeah I think so, sometimes doing nothing at all is better than doing a bunch of shit."
