Hopefully society is changing back to traditional roles. The hard part is your S.O. will need to have a well-paying job in order to pull it off comfortably.
The other thing that will help is being ok with living the simple life and not the constant I want, I want mentality.
If you are ok with the above, vacationing locally maybe growing your own garden then you should be able to pull it off.
It's a beautiful concept that's for sure.
The old barefoot and pregnant sounds good to me.
